Tobi, after feeling my car be somewhat sluggish, particularly around the transition point between vacuum and boost, and also while decelerating (feels like a broken motor mount, but it's not) I think I found my problem. I was playing around with how I would mount the IAT sensor on the JR manifold without drilling anything, and realized before I took the electrical connector off the IAT sensor, that one of the wires was broken. This would also explain why when I pull the ECU fuse under the hood, and later put it back in, the CEL doesn't go off (I never check the codes, the thing is usually always on regardless). I'd say this has been going on for about a month or so now.
The problem is that the wire took a hike right at the connector, so I have absolutely NO room to splice them together, or even solder them together somehow.
What are my options? I'm guessing I could get a new connector from the honda dealership, but am wondering if it comes with sufficient wiring for a splice or what? Or is there a way to pull the existing wire out of the connector and insert part of the old one? What's your advice?
Also, when looking at it, I noticed that the map sensor and IAT sensors pretty much share most of the same wire loom together, and neither one of them really reaches the intake manifold too well (I'm thinking hondata here). What's your suggestion here?
