i enjoy long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners...
oh shit, wrong IE window...
anyway, tobi, im all set to do my swap on the 6th of dec (already got time off from work :) ) and the only real thing im confused about is all the sensors on the intake mani. I bought a skunk2 mani for my GSR head but obviously the mani is bare. what kinda sensors do i need? any that are on my stock VX mani that i can re-use? thanks.

I think it depends on the car its going into. If you have a intake air temp sensor on the inlet pipe youre good to go there, the map is on the throttle body, the only other thing I can think of is the idle air bypass. Is there a spot for that? The IABs need to be disabled or use a different ECU for that manifold so that takes care of that.

A P72 would be able to work the IABs, correct?
Also, is there a way to wire in a knock sensor on the P28?

The P72 is what he should beusing but he is getting rid of the IABs with this mani. So they need to be plugged in but disabled so it doesnt set a code. The P28 has no knock control.

D16Y8 has a knock sensor stock, right? Obviously it should since my car did go into limp mode once on 6th avenue shortly after having my JRSC installed, and it never happened again. So now it's not going to be used with the P28, how is the hondata/p28 going to be able to detect knock and/or engine problems? That's where the J&S would be good, but I'm trying to get rid of it to get money for the hondata.

It wont detect it. The J&S is the only way (or with your ears) to detect it with the P28. After 4k the sensor has so much noise it is not used anyway. It is there for low speed high load situations.
Steve how come people always ninja your threads? :p
