I'm looking to get some tint installed on my 350Z. Any suggestions on good shops to go to? I'm new to the area.

I had mine done at Tint Crafters.... off Wadsworth between quincy and bellview

they did three of our cars

I have always took mine to the tint shop across from lakeside mall 44th and sheridan'ish he's done probably 25 of mine and my Dad's vehicles

What do shops typically charge to tint a 3 dr hatchback 20%?

yeah, in fact, I know the owner of that GSX in your sig.

I posted there very rarely, though. I wasn't a huge fan of the TRS crowd. I'm not into street racing, really.

Thanks for the input, everyone.. I think I'll probably go with Tint Crafters. How bad is police attention on dark tint? They offer 30% or 15%. 30 seems a bit light, but 15 seems kinda dark (looks great I'm sure, but I really don't need to get pulled over). I think 20 or 25 would be a better compromise, but I dunno.

i had mine done at private eyez up here in ft. collins, they do illegal tint ;)

how are the cops around there with the tint, PA is the most strict state I believe when it comes to tint, both from windows cant be tinted at all. But, I had tinted cars for over 2 years now and I never got pulled over (knock on wood)

i havent had 1 problem with 20 all around but ive heard of people being ticketed for full limo tint

In my opinion it depends on how the cop is feeling that night.
B18C - Most shops charge around 165 or so for complete tint on a 2 door and around 195 for a 4 door. I have 20 on my car and it's just about right for me. Not too dark, not too light.

Colorado Tint or something like that. On the south side of 44th.

Damn! Prices have gone up alot. I got my 4 dr Accord and my GSR done for around $120-130.

Guess I'll learn to do it myself.

It all depends on where you take it. The places I've worked and and been to charge around that. Hardest part about doing it yourself is the back window. You don't want to do it in like 3-5 pieces. You want it all in one big piece. That might be why some places charge less.

Go to Geralds its across from Rockies autos on fedral, they do a great job I got my Limo all the way around, and payed 160. Ive pulled up next to cops b4 and never been hassled. just be smart bout it 30% or darker roll them babies down when ya see a cop.

I paid 250 for mine, it comes with a Lifetime guarentee and if I have to take the tint off, they will do it and put it back on whenever for just 20 bucks. And after the job is done they make u come back a few days later to check on it. Its good shit

I got 15% all around cept for the windsheld

I had my GSX done there back in '95 ($120) and the tint was still holding up great except for the driver's side door window had a slight peel starting and they fixed it recently with no problems.

I'm getting my 4Runner done next week.
