Im sure a lot of you have taken weight reduction on a civic to the limits (Tobi:D ) I want to take out some of the pointless stuff. Im pretty broke so stuff like Carbon Fiber is out of the question for now but could some of you tell me some stuff thats cheap/free to remove on a fully loaded Civic EX coupe?

edit - forgot to add, this is my only car so it cant be too harsh (aka interior stuff)

Depends on what you call pointless. You can take out the front and back supports, a/c, power steering, seats, ect.

Just save up for some boost or a swap ;) dont waste you time on saving weight if this is your daily driver, it wont do much to you e/t's unless you gut the whole car out.

not mine, mine weighs 1400 lbs, a little chunky:D

I think once I get some money (after swap) I will put carbon fiber all over the place, race seats, and do some little stuff (like spare)

Once last question, is it possible to sort of 'gut' out the back seats (take out some metal stuff) to make them lighter but stay there. I hate it when people in the back (gotta move my seat up, I dont like that) but I dont like a gutted look.

you mean 2400? your civic isn't 1400, not even most crxs are that low on weight.

My car is pretty porky too... like 2500lbs. I am in the process of removing my P/S, A/C, and cruise control to clean up the engine bay and to chuck out a good 20-30lbs of stuff.

man you guys have light cars....mine weighs a little over 2700.

Maybe you should gut out your back seat and your front passenger seat and put in air mattresses.

My GSX weighs 3295 w/ a full tank gas and stock wheels and winter tires. 3080 w/ 1/4 tank of gas and aftermarket wheels and no spare or jack.

My car weighed in at 2550 with me in it running on fumes with no spare, jack, or floor mats. Last time I wieghed it, I was still on fumes, but had the floor mats and some tire tools inside and it weighed 2562 or something.
