Who does this locally? I need a DP built with a separate (internal) wastegate discharge line, similar to this:

But to accomodate a T3 flange and terminate in a 2.5in DIA.

Thanks,
Andy

Collins Muffler in Loveland... that's who Mark told me to go to. They did a good job on mine and it didn't cost much either.

How much did it run you? I have a place that will do the manifold for the b20a, and was looking for a place that'll down a downpipe too. :)

I spent $289 total... here's what I got:

custom 2.5" down pipe w/ O2 bung
2.5" CarSound high-flow cat w/ O2 bung
custom wastegate exhaust - routed back into the downpipe (emissions legal and much quieter than an open wastegate)
eliminated flange between A-pipe and cat
upgraded to 2.5" flange between cat and B-pipe

I only brought them a downpipe flange, wastegate output flange, bolts for both, and a 2.5" flex coupling.

I'd be willing to make one for you.. I've done a bit of custom exhaust fabrication. I did the same sort of thing (seperate internal wastegate dump) on my DSM. I'm assumming you'd want it to go all the way back to the cat, w/ a flex section?
Why not 3"? ;-)

No 3in b/c my exhaust and cat are 2.5in. A larger diameter exhaust would reduce my suspension travel before it got smashed. Its pretty tight back there.

For which turbo did you build it? If a T3, how did you incorporate the swingate housing? I would imagine that it could be chopped just after the sleeve for the flapper arm, but if I knew this was so, I wouldn't be asking.

And yes, all the way back to the cat.

Thanks,
Andy

Mitsubishi (DSM) turbos have the swingate built in to the turbine housing, so that makes it easy. I've done it on a T3 style turbo before though. It was for a 2nd gen RX7 which uses a Garrett T3 knock-off (hitachi). In that case we had to hack up the stock housing and reuse it to form the downpipe (just as you described). It worked very well and totally eliminated boost creep.
