Hi all,

I'm finally piecing together a turbo kit, which I should be done within a week/week and a half. I'd like to install it myself for a few reasons. One, the shops charge a buttload. Two, I want to learn installation and the technical part of turbos. Three, have help because I'm probably not adept at doing it.

Here's my proposal. Is there anyone around the Fort Collins, Greeley, Boulder area that would like to come up for a day, like Saturday morning and help work on installing my turbo? It'd be a great way to make new friends. Plus, all won't be in vain. I'll provide food, drinks, beer, whatever to help make the time fun as possible. If the installation goes into the next day, I'll provide a place to stay as well.

It would be awesome if someone has done a turbo install before too. You can be the director or something. :) If anyone can also weld and has welding tools, then I would get an intercooler as well, but if not, that's no big deal.

So, reply here or e-mail me at jamyam@hotmail.com if you're interested and I'll e-mail everyone when the install time is coming.

Thanks!

What car, what motor, what turbo/kit, what else besides the turbo are you installing?

I have a '96 Civic EX (D16Y8). I'll be installing pretty much everything a kit would have, so, turbo, manifold, downpipe, all piping, missing link, bov, and miscellaneous stuff.

If someone can weld, I'll buy an intercooler. If not, no biggie. I'll have the bov welded on at a shop or something.

The big help would be just help with the install and maybe if someone has a jack or two to raise the car.

I'll also probably give anyone who helps some extra cash for the help.

Not trying to speak for anyone.....but if you talk to 01ITR#700 (http://www.highaltitudeimports.com/vbulletin/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=114), I think that he can do it all.

Hey, cool. I have a D16 engine and I'm just hoping for anything in the 14s.

You go to H.S. there? I went to Niwot High. I go down there every once and in a while. Maybe I can come check your car out.
