Okay...so many of you have seen my posts about how my H22A swap went down the tubes so I am trying to make the best of a bad situation. I bought this header off of ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33631&item=2432825654

And since I didn't swap motors I am wondering if it will work on my F22 motor. If it will **SWEET**, but if it won't I would be will to put it up for sell here or on ebay.

SOOOO....Can I do it?

An f22a header will NOT fit on an h22a... so I'd assume that is the same backwards - so I don't think it will work.

it should bolt right up. My friend bolted up his F header to his H22 (just to see what was interchangable) so i assume its vice versa. Just give it a shot and if it doesnt work then you can always put the stock one back on and sell the one you bought on ebay.

Yep, Prelude Si is H23A. Prelude Vtec is H22A.

you can always pick up H23's for pretty cheap. 160hp & 156 lb-ft TQ. Just something to think about.

Torquey and should be pretty cheap for a swap since there really isnt a great demand for them.

H23A would be better if you were headed for the turbo route since it has lower compression (9.6 vs 10). you wouldn't be satisfied with the H22A in the N/A form...so you prolly should get a cheap H23A and turbo it cause it'd be just like the b18 turbos.

yep. I totally agree.

dumb question:

can someone explain compression ratios?

Ratio of cylinder volume at TDC to cylinder volume at BDC.

But then you'd still have that header :D

isnt the h23 and f22 header interchangable?? I was almost sure that it was ..... might want to check it ..... I thought it was the h22 and h23 headers that were not interchangable.... just try it and see

an h23 + turbo isn't a happy meal, uncle moneybags. i'm sure he'll have to settle with just the engine for now then upgrade to turbo later if he goes that route.

Ooh, a comedian! Time frame doesn't matter, Mr. Ebonics- go turbo and that header will eventually be replaced.

That is all.

well i still say that H23 boosted would the way to go, although just an H23 dropped in with I/H/E wouldnt be bad either...

okay...so I was trying to remove my OE header and I realized that the sensor (not sure if it is the O2 or what) is located at the top of my OE header. On the new header, which is for the H23, the sensor location is on the downpipe near the flexpiping.

Can I just splice the wires to extend it?

Also I was loosen the nuts that hold the OE header in place. I was able to get most of them loose, but when I started to loosen the last nut, the whole thing tore off. what i mean is that the nut came off, but not before it took the top of the bolt with it as well.

Is there an easy way to fix this?

yes you can extend the wires to the O2 if needed. As for the last bolt breaking, ill think you'll be ok but if you really concerned, you can always get it fixed.

>>Ratio of cylinder volume at TDC to cylinder volume at BDC.

Well, technically, it's the other way around, but the idea is there.

The H23, wasn't it the the one that has the 16 valve in the middle and kinda looks like a d-series motor, or is that a d-series also?

well it might be useless right now, but look on the bright side...

it sure is shiney :)

by the way, did you buy an exhaust to hook up to this shiney new header? or was that to come later...
