At the Import Survival Series race in Englishtown,NJ Shepherd set a new AWD DSM record with a 8.76@165mph and hit 125mph in the 8th mile.

I wonder how long those AWD trannies last now?

Love to see that run in person.

The site says he's running a custom tranny. http://shepracing.com/services.htm

I know the ESX Subaru WRX had to go the custom automatic transmission route to keep from breaking output shafts and so on, and they are still working their way down into the low mid 9's. The last best time I'd seen for ESX is a 9.75@13.98

But Rigoli just ran 9.13 @ 149 down in Australia, so the Subies are getting there.

John builds his own trannies, so I guess that could/would be custom?
