Would any intercooler work for my car? I am going to keep the boost under 10 psi for now. I was wondering if like a stock intercooler from the DSMs or other cars would work for now.

T0E4 50 trim i believe (t3/t4)
Walboro 255lph fuel pump
Getting a manifold and wastegate
550cc injectors (searching)

Now what else do I need?

Yes those would work but they are sidemount so you're ride would be a little more incognito. I'd personally just save for a nice front mount, but then again I'd settle for a side mount as well.

a side mount wouldnt be too bad for now if you dont have the cash for a big FMIC. I personally would say up for a front mount tho..

Agreed. Just buy one from me. $375 for a Precision intercooler that retails for $500 is a hell of a deal.

Thanks.

Well I can get the side mount for free. All I'd have to worry about is the piping.

How much does piping cost around?

A front intercooler would be ideal, especially if you plan on boosting more. Because you are getting 550cc injectors, I assume you are planning for a big setup. If you aren't going for a built engine, 450cc DSM Injectors would work perfect.

Also, don't forget you'll need downpipe as well, oil lines, charge pipes, and you'll want some sort of fuel management (S/V-AFC is NOT recommended for turbo setups)... Hondata or Zdyne would be ideal. :)

You can get 3 dsm cores and weld them together with custom endtanks. That would give you a pretty big intercooler for minimum bank.

Why aren't s/vafcs recommended?

They aren't recommended for higher injectors (namely the DSM 450cc and of course up) because they are simply not designed for that extreme use - they are designed for N/A buildups... not for turbo setups. A guy I know who turbo'd his lude had his S-AFC maxed out, and he was still running too lean... so go with a turbo designed controller, or just go all out for Hondata or Zdyne.

My AFC works with my 450cc injectors. :)

Not true Mario, I'm doing a SAFC + 450's + MSD 6 BTM + ENS. I'll let you know how it goes when I put it all in. Oh yeah, I forgot about the 255 fuel pump, and the AEM fpr as well. As of right now, the only things I have left to buy are:
some piping
fpr
wastegate
BTM (already have the money for it)
and have Mark do my downpipe/exhaust and I should be ready to go. OF course there is other work I need to do, but I'll take it in steps.

Ok, from the sounds of it, it seems as if the afcs are ok...

I'd not say 'any intercooler'. If the flow characteristics of the core are lousy, it may or may help. For the most part - yes - an intercooler will help. A lot.

A DSM or Supra SMIC would be pretty good - I've got a pair of DSM ics in my garage for some way-out-in-the-future plans, as the stock IC on my A4 is about the size of an oil cooler. :)

Hmmm, my friend musta been fucking them up or something... I'll see what's goin on. :)

This is 100% dependant on the application. I used an AFC on my 700+ crank HP supra motor. I'd call that some extreme use. :) I also used an 'old style' AFC on my last DSM - the 12.1 second @ 5800 ft ASL dsm. :) Another case of 'sorta extreme' use.

When using larger injectors, you need to match the impedance of the current parts, FWIW.

Maybe. A local DSM guy did just this and the flow characteristics of his big core, well, sucked. Badly.
