this is the hard part... trust... I would probably recommend finding a smaller ma and pa shop that has been around for awhile... make sure to ask questions... hang out a little, get to know the people there, how long they have worked there, how long they have been in business... If they don't seem pretty pasionate about security, then go some where else... I used to love putting in systems that were a little more custom... kind of a me against them feeling... and there was nothing worse then having a customer come in to tell me they had a break in, it was personal then, but if my system helped them get away with nothing more then a broken window, then I know that I at least helped minimize the loss....

also, generally, people paid on commision are going to cut corners to make the job quicker, so they make more money... A fast install isn't always bad, but hiding stuff does take time... ask to see some of their work... If you can look up under the dash a recognise wires that don't belong, or the alarm brain is hanging in your face, its not going to be very hard for a thief to disable...

You would be sick if you saw all the crappy alarm installs I've seen... there is nothing like pulling the dash loose below the steering collom and having all the wiring and parts of the security system hit you in the forhead!

do it yourself... get the diagrams online and go to town...

If anyone needs diagrams or can not find em let me know...

if you have a place do it make sure they are MECP certified too... too many out there jack stuff up all too often especially if they do remote start or window roll up or even the infamous remote locks

yes, but I have met many people that are mecp certified that shouldn't even drive a car, let alone work on one... It is a good measure of how dedicated someone is too their career, but it isn't the only indication...
