most sirens come with a customization feature that allows you to change the sounds that the siren will make by cutting traces on the circuit board...

I've found that if you get at least two different horns making at least two different sounds, your alarm will start sounding pretty damn obnoxious... through in a horn honking, and its pretty hard to ignore...

I will try to get a sound clip posted of what my car sounds like :D

How many sirens do you have in your car?

a few...inside and out... plus horn honk...

the key is to try and eliminate false alarms (hence the reason I hesitate setting it off to get a sound clip :) )... If your whole neiborhood hears your alarm everyday, pretty soon they don't care... put if its way loud, and hardly ever goes off, people will look to see what the hell is going on :)

I had 2 pain generators and 2 sirens to protect my 15's in my escort. I want to hook up some police issue strobes and a few other sirens in the Si. Too bad they didn't ever come out with that interior fogger that made it impossible to see inside the car and didn't leave an odor or film. I saw it on some show when I was like 14, but it never came out.

We should buy a bulk load of sirens and wire them up in our cars.

I had two sirens in my old civic. One right under the dash by the pedals and another under the hood, lets just say it wasnt a whole lot of fun to be in the car when they went off.

What I'm going to hook up next is a horn from one of my upcoming fire trucks, inside the car. When they try to start it, BEEP! Hopefully my insurance covers multiple glass claims.

We'll have to talk about some 'alternative' methods next time you are around here. I have some decent ideas I think.. :)
