How can a simple thing be so god damn complex

Ok, I can't seem to get this fucking thing working. I have:

-heavy duty car relay
-magnetic reed switch
-LED
-DPDT relay
-push button
-wire

Can someone draw me up a diagram, using these parts, for a fuel cut off switch with the LED and magnetic reed switch if at all possible. Every single thing I've tried doesn't work, and I don't wanna go and cut the wires on my fuel pump to 'test' it. I feel like such a dumbass now, I think I've spent a good 10 hours just sitting and testing different setups now. :(

I assume that you are keeping the fact that the LED is indeed a diode also right? I guess I'd have to see what you were planning on doing with the circuit..shouldnt really be that difficult. :)

I dunno... when it comes to heavy electronics stuff ("diodes...? Resitors? Capicitators" :D) I dunno shit about shit. The LED is a blinking LED that is already in some sort of a housing... has a positive(red) and negative(black) wire coming out of it.

I just needa magnetic-controlled fuel cut off switch that uses a magnet to enable and disable the system. I run a magnet by, it turns it on/off. The LED is to let me know whether or not the system is on or off. Hope that clarify's it better.

I'll see if i can figure it out. The concept is just like a stereo relay.

You might want to PM kevin, he's good at stuff like that. He helped me setup my nitrous setup/window switch/arming/bottle opener/etc.

Heh, no problem... seeing that MR2 stolen, these thiefs are just motivating me! :eek:
