Well, thanks to pang, he figured out my vacuum leaks. I got a B16A2 manifold instead of the 1st gen and that definitley helped alot. The problem i have right now is that when i plug in the IACV, the RPM revs to 3000. When its unplugged, it will stay about 1500 RPM. It actually moves from like 1400-1500, but you can barely notice. Anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do?

Thanks
Bryan

*UPDATE*

I got the idle back to stock by turning around the TB gasket. geez im dumb. But i still have a problem of the throttle cable sticking. Its at idle and i try to rev it and it sticks and stays at about 2000 RPM. I have to stick my foot under the pedal and pull it up in order for it to go back to normal. Any ideas on why its sticking or what could be wrong?

TIA,
Bryan

get a b16 throttle body or flip the throttle cable

Is it snagging on something? Spray some lube into the spring

yea i gotta figure something out cuz if i use the B16 TB, i have to get a longer Throttle cable because the GSR is too short. I dunno, ill just have to figure it out. Now all i need to do is adjust my valves and it should be runnin perfect. :)

they sell a special tool that you have to use in order to adjust them. You also need feeler guages. I dont know any sites tho, sorry.

Normally, all you'd need are feeler gauges, a box wrench and flat screwdriver. And a Helms, for valve clearance specs.

In the case of the B16 and B18 heads, the valves sit really low and are hard to reach with standard box wrenches. Snap-on makes a handy combo tool that makes it easy to use.

If you want to learn about adjusting valves, a Helms or even a Chiltons will detail how to do it.

Just reading your posts b18, I noticed you have the same problem as i do. My speedo gauge goes crazy though. it'll be fine, then die, then shoot up to 100mph and back and forth, and then eventually die. I haven't made any changes to the throttle body, and the previous owner didn't make any, I am sure. I do have trouble with the pedal sticking though, but i never noticed it happened the same time as when my speedometer gauge went phut.

anyone else have this problem?

your speed sensor is out you need to change it out for the signal is dead, sounds like
