Stages for what?

there are aftermarket tuners who sell packages in stages, but they vary for every vehicle.

Yeah, thats just any particular companies way of advertising/marketing anything and everything. There is no set, stages for much of anything that I can think of.

Um... let's see... anger, denial, acceptance. There are other stages but those are the big ones :)

Stages are quiet possibly the most useless, and inprecision measurment for anything.

I hate when people tell me that they have a stage 3 part or their BOV is stage four. Talking about stages just says you've been playing too much Gran Turismo, and don't pay enough attention to the details: The real differences between the parts.

Are you talking about stage 2,3, or 4 of Hondata's S200 ECU?

so it stays at stage 37?

Funny how most marketing ploys, the stages stop at around 3 or so. So anything after that is non-existent...so that must been your penis is non-existent...:D

Well everyone is kind of right. But to be perfectly honest, stages are usually used to represent the application. For example:

Stage 1 = Performance Street / Light racing Use
Stage 2 = High Performance Street / Medium Racing Use
Stage 3 = Extreme Street / Heavy Racing Use
Stage 4 = Heavy Racing use only
Stage 5 = I want to die.

For example, buying a stage 4 clutch for a stock Civic is just retarded, so companies mainly use it as a system to help customers better identifiy their needs. See?

What if you bought a stock Civic for your stage four clutch though?

As long as you strap a stage 37 penis to the hood of the car, that should be fine.

If you are talking engine upgrades, it's all dependant on the vendor who is providing the stages. Different vendors provide differerent levels of performance within their stages, and more often than not they are pretty much the same. With some exceptions.

Which vendor are you talking about, and for which motor?
