use a Si tranny from the 88-91 Civic/CRX. They are cable and will bolt right up to that motor since they are both D series.

wow...posting from puerto rico?
i wouldn't waste my time trying to make it work, i would just buy a newer civic si and you would be set.

Well, maybe -
1) He likes his CRX (and that fact that it's 300+ lbs lighter)
2) he can't afford a newer Civic Si
3) he likes doing stuff himself and enjoying the results
BTW gilbertofox you could also use a JDM ZC tranny - very similar ratios in gears 1-5 and the same 4.25 final drive.

Ever heard of "free speech" hsunchen? No need to get all up in a pissy mood, he is just posting one of the possible solutions to this problem.
hsun knows his shit. better to have someone who knows than give a bullshit answer. i'd take someone who tries to help with the owner's problem in mind than suggesting what he'd do himself.
some people say go fuck yourself,
whilest i say would you like to gurgle my cum?

CXhatchboy520, I suppose I could have gone easier on prkrnt - but I'm entitled to the same free speech you referred to (as long as it's prohibited by the forum rules).
It just seems to me that a post that doesn't help someone who asking for help is pointless other than upping your post count. I'm not sure suggesting that someone buy a different car qualifies as a "possible solution."
Thanks for your support fodo. I certainly have much to learn and gain by being on this board - that's mostly why I'm here.

Id get the Si trans, since they are easy to come by. Slap a quaiffe in it and your good to go.
