I am looking to replace the drum brakes on my '95 accord lx with the rear suspension from a 97 ex.

Has anyone had experience doing this conversion or has anyone done it before?

Here is what the rear end from the 97 accord ex looks like...

Did you get a proportioning valve too?

I've never done but can help if you need.

my buddy josh just bought a rear disc conversion for his 92 HB. The rear disc brakes were off of a 95 GSR. The swap is fairly easy to do. He paid $200 for that whole setup so see what you can get that from mark for.

As light as my CX is, the stock brakes seem to do just fine. I think eventually, I'll just get some high performance pads for the front and switch the fluid to Motul RBF600. No sense in spending money on a GSR brake swap. Anyone thoughts?

Won't I need to run additional brake lines to the rear? Also, would I need a bigger master cylinder to accommodate for the 2 additional calipers?

yea well you probably also have the stock motor under the hood, huh? Yea....well my buddy is swapped. Whats the sense in having all this speed if you can stop? Plus, he couldnt go wrong for $200...

you might as well just get everything with the swap, jason.

When I had my swap, it's not that I didn't have enough stopping power, it's just that trying to change the rear drums on a Civic are such a pain in the ass.
