So I inherited a car with 100k miles on it, and it spent a majority of its life in montana. They dont bother to use salt or anything on the roads up there, they use gravel..lots and lots of gravel. Needless to say, the windshield on the del Sol looks like shit. Honda glass seems to be a bit on the soft side anyway, but I remember talking to DrJones about the ability to use a rotary buffer to polish glass? Would it work for light pits?
How much work is involved in it? Anyone tried such madness before? The glass on the Sol is in pretty rough shape, I'll prolly replace it next year anyway..but is there any hope for it? It somehow has survived its life with only one closed loop crack and one rock "chip." The wipers do a really shitty job getting water off it however, because of all the pitting I think.
Anyone have some suggestions? :)
