Well I FINALLY! got my springs and shocks done. I need to hit up teh alignment rack early next week and head to the track for some tests but here is apic of the rear. The setup is custom spring rates matched with GC custom ride sleeves and Tokico Illumina shocks. The rear (pictured) is so damn stiff its not even funny. The front is really soft so its a tad bouncy. Hopefully it will aid in traction thus lowering 60 foots and making the car just a tiny bit faster and more consistant. If anyone is interested in a setup like this ( I know Servion is) or any other setup that needs to be cutom ordered let me know. I now have access to EVERY Spring Eibach makes seperatly and can mix and match just about anything you want for an Eibach/Ground Control setup.

When my struts go out on the S2000 i want to go with that setup. Does Tokico Illumina have adjustable dampening? Do they even have a application for S2000's?

When I am ready i will get in touch with you.

Looks nice!!! Now what about the pics of the exhaust? If it shows a proven gain in HP on the dyno i will more than likely go with the same setup. Can't beat that price.

Jeezuz, those coils are thick. What spring rates?

That's my EXACT setup. Although I can't remeber my spring rates off hand. Couldn't be happier with em though, especially since Tobi had to copy me! :p

They are thick. Look really close to the part number, the last four (yes four digits!) are the spring rate. :D

Heres a pic of your setup Alex. My springs are not even in the same leauge but yes, exact same design and product. Same what I put on Mikes car too.

Mike opted for the Non adjustable springs though, This car rode very nice and according to him it did wonders for his launch.

Look at the diffeence in the spring thickness and nuber of coils. If oyu notice i will only have about 3-3.5 inches of total travel. After that the spring will "stack" and become completly solid.

Whoa, what a difference! My car is a bit low for me now, I'm going to raise it up a bit.

I hope the Tokico's last on those stiff springs, I know my skunk2 coilovers ate my shocks up after a while but they are the non-adjustables, it handles good but the rides rough. What was on the Si before?

Wow. 4 digits? is that a 1000 I see, I have small eyes and I can't see. And how much could you get the same shocks for?

tobi, can you hook up the GC/Koni shortened/rev-valved combo deal?
I read you can get the entire setup from ground control so....
I'd probably be looking at getting a few sets of springs as well.

Ted, Stiffer springs actually let the shock do less work. Softer springs end up wearing them out.

Eujon, I can get anything Eibach/GC makes. The Konis I would have to look around for. You are looking for road course stuff am I right? I may have an idea but I need exact specs from you and or part numbers.

Tobi, arent your springs a bit short? Looks like you have your perch all the way to the top and the springs arent in place!

Can you get helper springs aka tender springs?

The car is off the ground. When its on the ground it seats onto the perch. It is also a tad too high right now. I have to set teh final ride height when I do the align. But you are correct the spring is very short. Its meant to be that way so it will stack on hard acelleration. These are not meant for street use, they would be downright scary to drive on a rough street. :o

I'll definitely be getting a set of these from you in the near future :) I'd like ot get springs for the rear that are stiff as possible without losing complete streetability. I don't drive it _daily_, but I do probably drive it a couple time per week for fun :) How streetable do you think 800's or 900's in the rear will be?

Now if I can only stop breaking axles

they will be scetchy on bumps at high speed. Ill talk to my guy at GC and see what his opinion is when we get to the order stage. You need to talk to Tom at www.driveshaftshop.com

Hrmm..thanks for posting those pics, even if I'll never see that car again *sniff* It really gives a good point of reference between the different "kits" and concepts behind them. I've never really seen the point of a huge drop..so the coilover option wasnt really for me. Amazing that there would be that much of a difference between the 3 kits however..considering they are all on the same car. :)

Interesting stuff..
