Hey, how's it going? WRX Harvey invited me over from svtperformance.com so I thought I'd check in and see whats up. I can't believe you have a dedicated site for Denver and the surrounding areas. That's AWESOME!! Anyway, I'll be lurking around seeing what's up. Go to T&T pretty often so stop by and say hey!! I've got the only Black 03 Cobra that I've seen out there so far. stu, nope sorry, haven't been up that way in awhile. jojo, what kinda tracks do you have around there?? Are they close to sea level?? I'm looking to do a road trip this winter and get this car near sea level and see what she'll run. I assume you've got some type of forced-induction there. How does your car run there compared to here?? Everbody seems to think us FI cars here should be on some 1/2 correction factor and I don't believe it!! Anyway, what's a good time to show up and do some runs down the 1/4??? Thanks.

I didn't want to speak for Jojo, but there's Firebird International Raceway and another track that's supposedly better than FIR. I took my GT down there before the blower and while shifting into second gear I damn near hit the wall. On top of that the track was REALLY bumpy towards the end...Ford's own track and I almost killed myself. :(

I think the altitude is 1200'.

Honestly the car doesn't feel any different here at all. A big part of that though is probably the 110+ deg temps when I drove it. I'm running a single turbo at 18psi. Currently I have it torn down again to try a different cam.

My stock 5.0 picks up quite a bit when the temps drop below 95. But when it's really hot out, even it doesn't feel much faster.

Anytime after September should be great weather for racing.

First off NICE car... I honestly don't like Mustangs to much but the new Supercharged Cobra seriously scares me [heh].

Hey did you run about 2 months ago up at Bandimere? I saw a Black Cobra run a 14.1@105 and then a 13.9@104. Don't know if it was you or not. If it was what were your mods then? I ran a 106mph trap the week before when my WRX was highly modified on pump gas and I was shocked to think a stock Cobra would keep up with me [heh].

jojo - Any luck in Phoenix in terms of a job? I seriously want a ride when I come down for Xmas!! I want to see you run a guy I know down there with a 450whp+ WRX :). I have to line up a race between you two at Firebird [heh].

david, thanks for the props. I've been pretty heavily modded all year, wasn't me. Last time I was up there, a buddy of mine went up in his bone stock Cobra. 13.9 @ 104 was his best and he somehow pulled a 1.9 60ft out of his ass. So far my best is 2.13. Anyway, got some 315/30 18 BFG drags sitting right here waiting for install so we'll se if that helps. Are you going to the test day next Wed??

WOW.. That is seriously impressive for any bone stock car up here, and a 1.9 60' :eek: on a RWD car like that. I have an STi now which is a bit slower than my last WRX. Depending on the weather though I might come up next week or the week after. I will keep an eye out for your car if I do go though.
