One of our locla racers JJ olson went went 8s this weekend in qualifying at Woodburn Oregons NHRA Sport Compact event his sunday but failed to make the call for first round giving the first round win to Mike Crawford in his Dodge Neon. Crawford went on to win the Hotrod class with a blistering 8.61@170mph.
Also at the same event Steph Papadakis turned an incredible 207 mph run in qualifying but failed to back it up to set the record. He admittedly was happy but stated that the car went faster than it was supposed to due to a tuning error that made the car overboost. "We are here to go rounds not break E.T. records." Papadakis stated.

when he can make 6 or 7 passes in a row in the 8's, I will be impressed.

I think that is pretty damn impressive considering he is the first (and only so far) honda to run 8's from Colorado. Congrats JJ and PFI!

Sam Park is slowly but surely headed there too. Dustin has it right though, they still have a way to go.

They went a 9.0 and 8.97. They have been knocking on the door all yr long. It takes alot to get a car consistently fast like they are doing. Congrats to JJ and team!

Nice to see him putting up some nice times. Hopefully he and the other PFI cars will do good in front of the hometown fans here in about a week:)
