Car stereo stolen! :( (not my car)

One of my guys here at PC Club had his truck broken into last night and the stereo stolen out of it. It was in Colorado Springs off of Powers. Anyway, if everyone could keep an eyeball out for E*Bay sales of this item, or someone trying to get rid of it somewhere...please let me know.

It is a Kenwood indash DVD player, model number KVT-911DVD.
The serial number is 20900931.

The guys name is Travis..and if anyone has any anonymous information about it, you can contact me or him (or the police obviously). His phone number is (719)440-8007. Since its not all that common of an item hopefully it will turn up somewhere. I know there arent as many of us in the springs as denver, but if you guys could keep an ear to the ground I'd appreciate it.

Yeah, he made sure his insurance policy included it when he got his insurance here (he just moved here from california not too long ago) but it still sucks. Its missing nearly all of the wiring, has a security code feature, and they prolly just generally fucked it up pulling it out of the dash. The bastards will prolly just end up throwing it away because its going to "cost too much" to get it working, or use it in their own car. I'd honestly expect something like that to turn up in some ricewagon at the IDRC car show however..we'll see.

I felt really bad for him..its like "hey welcome to colorado! thanks for the sweet deck!"

Did they even take the unit that attaches to it for the A/V inputs, TV antenas, etc? That unit is worthless without that control box.

Nope. Thats why I'm kinda afraid it will just end up in the trash somewhere or get sold to a pawnshop for like $100 because they dont know any better. The only thing worse than a theif, is a fucking idiot theif. :(
