How much money would it take to get an Evo 8 into the 350-400 whp range? How many psi can you push on the stock engine.

Wow, quick response. Any idea how much HP?

Somone on another board (a 350Z board) said put $6K into an Evo 8 and $6K into a 350Z and the 350Z spanks the Evo. I respectfully disagreed. What do you guys think?

350Z with the greddy kit won't beat 12.9 sec uphere so I don't think so. But you never know depends on how you spend the money.

Don't know anything about the Z, but 6k will go a long way on the EVO.

I've heard the Greddy TT kit on the 350Z makes about 400 crankhorse but I'm sure with $6k on the EVO plus AWD the 350 still couldn't touch the EVO;from a roll it might be a different story but at the strip it would be the EVO would win.

28 psi? The stock turbo won't even hold 28 psi.

Says who? I've seen people running lots of boost...nobody at 28lbs..but thats not a huge stretch for a car thats already at 19.5 lbs? :p

A black evo at bandimere was pushing 24psi and he still could've pushed it another degree or 2

If you run 28 psi on a stock evo you will through a rod. If you have anymore questions about the evo you can go to evolutionm.net you would find all the info needed there. As for $6000 into an evo you would be pushing at least 450 whp if you went with the Bushur turbo kit that is coming out along with all of the supporting mods. I don't think that the 350 Z would hang to well with the evo if the evo had $6000 into it. IMO
