Almost met my match today

I was going to do a red truck today, which I thought would be fairly routine... boy was I wrong. I was really close to throwing in the towel on this one. It was like a sleeper... the paint looked like it was in good shape with just a few small problems, but hidden under the light scratches, was a mess of waterspots and blotchy areas.

I went at the hood with my rotary and my DACP... the same combo I used on Thrice's hood.... what was left can be seen on the left side of the shot below... something that agressive not even puting a dent in it almost made me give up hope... but just when i was about to give up I somehow managed to get the results on the right.

I really didn't expect to get the results I did.... I have a ton of pictures i'll post them later. That blotchyness you say in the first pic was all over... I still have no clue what it was... I'll post some more so you can see how bad it was... I was almost ready to just accept it and give up on removing it
