any body shop would be able to do it for you for pretty cheap I would imagine. I dont know how to do it myself but thats an option.

you could try and mount them somewhere else besides the hood. Like on your winshield wipers.. use your imagination!

Does a CF hood actually help with anything?

if its ram air on an open top aftermarket air box then yep. this ones just for looks though until i get around to spending 600 on a hood. im gettin it pretty cheap.

I drilled my CF hood for the CRX and it was fine.

I don't know about cutting but drilling didn't seem to be a problem at all. I'll send you the pix when I get home after work.

You can just drill a hole and then dremel it wider if it needs to be a certain shape.

wouldnt drilling cause the hood to crack? i would think it would.. but i've never drilled CF before.

I heard about CF hood cracking too but they only way to put a hole in the hood is drilling.

I would also consider putting hood pins on the hood if your going to be drilling in the first place.

use a step-bit (uni-bit)... I haven't drilled carbon, but they work great on every thing else (wood, plexiglass (very easy to crack), and metal.....)

thats a good idea gj. any idea on how i could go about getting larger holes in it for vents anda scoop?

Personally, i would order a CF hood with a scoop allready fabricated into it, so that i wouldnt have to go through the hassle of making a scoop and fabricatiing it my self. It is going to be hard for you to get a CF scoop to match your hood, and find a way to mold them together and make it look nice..

id like to. but there isnt one out for my car. i need one with a specific scoop. www.focus-central.com has a fiberglas version but i want CF. wingswest makes a similar one, but its like 700 and the scoop isnt there its just a vent. this is my only option right now :(
