Went to the Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep drive america thing today for a couple of hours in Commerce Shity and got a choice to drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Rubicon, or Jeep Liberty. I chose the liberty since the line was short. That was pretty fun, they had the best off-road course. Then we went to Dodge trucks and I ran a Dodge 2500 Diesel through another off road course.
Then we checked out the Dodge cars and could choose to drive an Intrepid, Stratus coupe R/T, Stratus Sedan R/T, regular neon, dodge hemi 1500 or dodge 2500 diesel trucks on their road course. I took out the silver Stratus Coupe which looked really nice and actually handled very decently.
Then we headed off to Chrysler and drove the PT Cruiser Turbo through a 1/8th mile drag race course. Those things have TINY turbo impellers ( I think the 18T K03 turbos are bigger). The PT Cruiser turbo is still slow, I think my car would beat it up pretty good, and I know for a fact that a Passat 18T is faster than the PT Cruiser Turbo.
Then we headed over to the Chrysler roadcourse and had the option to drive the Pacifica, the 300M special, the crossfire, a minivan, and three different styles of the Sebring. We drove both the 300M special which would make a great highway car, and the new Crossfire. The crossfire is small, looking out the rear is a pain(they have a very bad blind spot). Decent brakes, and some pretty good get up and go out of the V6. The interior trim is all in brushed aluminum and looks very good. It, along with the 300M, had the autostick. I didn't get to flog it around the track as much as I wanted since there was a slow driver in front of me, but I managed to slip the rear wheels out a bit around a 360 degree turn.
It was well worth it since it was free admission, and they offered plenty of free bottled water and pepsi, diet pepsi, mt. dew, and DP. I think I drank 4 diet pepsis and two bottles of water. Hopefully I'll win the Jeep mt. bike which is worth over $600, but probably won't find out until later. So that's what me and Brett did today. What did you all do??? :)
