Well, my car got the whole treatment, including buffing out the swirl marks, polishing, sealing, and waxing, as well as tire shine stuff, glass cleaning, and rim cleaning. It looks awesome, about 200% better than it did. Here's a before...

This was one of the most fun details i've had. When i first saw the car i was a little worried (94 with 110K+ miles). Really deep swirls, oxidation and a stained, blotchy hood. That first picture doesn't even touch on how bad it looked...
I must say even i was suprised with the results. Thanks for letting me try some new products... they definatly worked well.
It's also really great to see it in the day time... i always get worried when I detail something late at night because I never get to see the end results in full light. Though from that pic it looks like it looks at least as good as we were expecting. Do you have any more good before and after shots?

The rims came out great too.

Of all the pictures I have on my computer, that one shows the swirls the best but heres another before...

after...
but you are definitely right, these pictures do not show how bad the paint really was...

Tomorrow I will try to get some close ups in direct sunlight. And yeah, I thought those rims would never be clean again, lol. Man, my car looks a good 5 years newer! Thanks again!

How does it look in direct sunlight? Can you see any of the heavier swirls that streaked up and down the side of the car (especially on the lower pannels)? What about the hood... is there any sign of the stains or swirls? After seeing how bad it was i'm sure there are still some problems. Doesn't mean they can't be fixed though.

you can still see some of the heavier scratches and swirls, but only if you get pretty close to it and look from the right angle. Hood looks perfect, no more stains or anything. As for the lower panels, they seem to be about the same as the rest of the car, so no problems there. From about 10 ft away, it looks practically like brand new paint. The only complaint I have is that no swirls definitely brings out the dents :p

Sounds like you paid a visit to Nick and got everything you need to keep it looking that good... Just don't get too sucked into it or you'll end up like me :D
If you ever have questions about what to do with the stuff you got or anything feel free to ask them.
Have many people that saw it before seen it now? I'm curious what their reactions will be.

LOL, yeah...
I might have some questions when the wax wears off, and how to use the whole P21S System correctly...
The poeple that know what they are talking about and had noticed the swirls in the first place are amazed at how good it looks. Other people just point out the dents, lol. Which I guess is a compliment, since they used to point out the swirls.

check out my post here (http://www.highaltitudeimports.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11593&perpage=15&pagenumber=1) for some tips.
Depending on how bad the swirls are I use different products. I probably have about 10 different products I can use for swirls... it really just depends what you are trying to accomplish. If you give me the situation you are faced with I can probably recomend something.
anothA civiC: I usually charge about $75 for a full exterior detail, which includes everything... it usually takes 4-5 hours, depending on the condition of the car.
