New bike

Well following in the wake of steve and B...........and influence from the discovery channel I broke down and got a new bike. I had planned on buying one at the end of the year when they would be cheaper but I found a deal that I just couldn't pass up. I purchased it from a guy in Michigan so it won't be here for a week or two. 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 800A with a little over 9,000 miles on it. I picked it up for dirt cheap. All together with shipping it is going to be right at $3200. I hope to get a custom paint job over the winter time and get some drag pipes and miscellaneous little things. After riding Steve's Harley I was hooked on the comfort. I will have pictures as soon as I get the bike.

Very cool, those are great bikes!
My mom actually rode a Vulcan for a couple years, it was the smaller one, 650cc if I remember right.

You'll be sorry. Those bikes are POS's. Trust me. It seems like the friggin Vulcan club here in Denver always ends up at my work for repairs. Always something breaking on them. Bet that guy is happy he got someone to buy it.
