In other words, Federov is a better hockey player than you, and he makes a great living at it and he one of the top players in the game for a reason. So, you can't say he sucks when he is already made history as one of the top goal scorers of all time.


BTW, Federov doesn't suck.

I love the Wings. They have been my favorite team since I started hockey. They have great leadership, and great skills, and will forever be one of hockeys greatest clubs. There is no denying they are by far the best offensive team in the league. Don't believe me? total up their assists and compare it with the history of hockey. Wings have the number one poll.

25 goals a year making 12 million a year is not one of the top goal scorers in the league. avalanche, on the other hand, have 2 of the top 3 goal and point scorers during the last 11 years (jagr, sakic, selanne)

I did not compare Federov with the Avalanche. Though there are higher scorers, and he is overpayed does not change the fact that he outperforms most players in the league, thus making him one of the top players. I did not say "the" top player.

My uncle is the paramedic for the avs, my aunt works for Washington caps, my best friend was drafted by the Rangers. I have a long line of Hockey in my blood and I respect all the teams for the talent they have. The Avs are a great team. and so are the Wings. Even if you count the Avs as the Nordiques too, the Wings still have a longer line, and more of a history. Hell, they were one of the original 6 teams the NHL had when it was created. That's what I hate about Colorado. 90% of the sports fans don't know what the fuck they are saying. (not intending you) It gets on my nerves on how Coloradans are so nieve.

Respecting and likeing are different things. I respect the Red Wings for being in the NHL for all these years. AVS were the team that I liked cuz they are the first team that I saw play in US. They did win the cup the first year here, so in a manner of speaking we did have the best team in the world the first year that we got a hockey team.

My saying is never talk sports, religion, or politics with people you want to stay friends..........lol. I am a diehard AVS fan but the fact of the matter is that Detroit has a better team than us most of the time...........unfortunate but true. Hopefully with these newly acquired stars the avs will play a little better offensively. I also believe that Colorado has some of the worst sports fans who just jump bandwagon from season to season. I think Detroit has a great team with a lot of talent and they are always going to be a tough team to beat, but hopefully the AVS will put up a better fight this year and chew up the competition rather than choke on the competition.

Am totally psyched about Kariya and Selanne joining the Avs. As long as The Swede keeps playing for the Avs, the rest is gravy. Can't wait for the season to begin.

Was dissapointed with Rhino departing, he would have given real depth that's been missing in the Avs 3rd & 4th lines.

Mr. Potato Head will fit in well with the Ded Wings.
