How did everyone do Sunday?

I made it to the 4th round before I broke out on a very close race. I did how ever manage to pull my best time of 15.483@88mph. I was nice to finally race again since the first test & tune.

Err...didnt do so well..but its worth going to the IDRC event just to make fun of some of the ricers..err..racers. The whole peanut gallery thing we had going on was pretty funny..good source of entertainment.

I lost in the 2nd round because I dont know how to drive apparently...red light demons in my Mitsubishi!

I had a great time there!!! First round I got my lowest ET of 12.91@110 :D. On the 2nd round I had a REDLIGHT and lost. :mad: .. Most of the fastest cars were DSM's.

I expected some faster times from the WRX guys with the huge FMIC's and upgraded turbos. My guess is it's a tuning or possibly a driver issue.

Still at 17psi I ran my best ever and with my datalogger showing some goosd numbers I might have been able to boost a couple more psi (possible 13 flat may have been possible). During two of my runs tho' I missed 3rd two times in a row.

I would like to see a 12 with the stock side mount but I hope to have the front mount IC in by the next club clash.

Makes perfectly good sense.

If you run a 14.444 on a 14.44 dial and have a .120 light you will lose to the guy who runs a 15.20 on a 15.10 dial who has a .020 light.

Yes, damn good, but sometimes it's not enough. Last year I had a similar run, I had a .526 light, got beat by a girl who cut a .502 light! We both broke out by only a few 1/100s, but she won it at the light.

I did Damn good yesterday. Started out the day snapping my power steeling belt on my first time trial, but after that everyting was fine, just no power steering. i got knocked out in the quater finals and still got a trophy. Lost to a 1G DSM. Heres what my last timeslip looked like. (me on left)
DIAL: 14.80 14.50
R/T: .186 .159
1/4: 14.835 WIN>> 14.541

Overall yesterday was fun and I filmed lost of the pro cars like John shepards talon, Ari Yallons RX-7, Easystreet WRX and a few others. I'll try to post some of them later if can figure out how to.

I had a blast! The car ran 13.5's all day, literally ran five 13.5's and a 13.6 on the brakes and broke out in the semi's with a 13.43 @100.91mph with a 13.50 dial in. I hit the brakes on the last run but I think I was too late :( . I was sad that I lost but very happy with my time. I ended up getting 3rd in Super Comp, taking home a trophy and $75.

I got knocked out in the first round, got a 15.35 on a 15.70 dial because the other two times during the day I had run a 16.0 and a 15.9, both with problems during the runs... the 16 I miss-shifted 3rd, and on the 15.9 run I spun the shit outta first. I still spun the hell outta the tires on the 15.35 run but shifted to second when it hit redline and wound up in 2nd from about 4500 RPM... I didn't realize the car would run so fast.

Congrats Steve, that is almost exactly my story from last year.Last year I got the 75$ and nice sized trophy in super comp semis.

Anyhow. I ripped 1st gear to shreds. I was running a 100 shot of nitrous and stupidly decided to launch with the nitrous on. The jetting was actually making closer to 160 HP and it was too much for my little wagons 1st gear. I ended up driving home after taking some cool film. 2-5th gear still worked so I sprayed a couple of times on the way home. HP readings on my PowermeterID were consistently at 455!!!( I usually read around 300 off bottle) so I think the little 2 liter can take lots of abuse. I will build a nicer race transmission, lower the nitrous to a true 100shot and be back next year. I will be back soon I hope.

Anyone wanna race from a roll? Just kidding, if I drove, it would only be a matter of time before the tranny completely locks up.

Mike, I think I saw my redlight demon fly out of my hoodscoop as my tranny blew, it was headed your way. You may have to exorcise your car. The good news is that the red light demon probably thinks it is in an STi. It lived in the tranny so you must remove the tailshaft and place and empty SoBe bottle beneath it. First alter the bottle to say SuBy though. Then say the prayer from the Exorcist 10 times and you should be golden. Just remember to top off all fluids. Please dispose of the bottle properly (at least 200 yards from any Subaru except a BRAT)!

Went out in the 5th round with a -.003 red light.

Ran in the 11's all day long. By next week I should have it in the 10's. Car picked up a bit since Saturday, I am using race gas now. I think putting on the APC sticker and "Westminster Enforcer" sticker I just bought should get me in the 10's

I am sun burned to hell and tired as a mutha from racing all weekend. Not sure if I will be doing the 3 day deal again anytime soon.

exactly.... the other guy cut a .030 compared to my .120 and ended up beating me by .0466

wow, does that make you feel good? yes that was me and before you go off you should know the whole story. i was in the back of the line..they started putting cars in the other lanes so I decided to go to the bathroom before my run. came back and he told me to move. no biggie, 15 more min of waiting isnt a big deal.

Ive been there before where cars block more than half the lane and the people at bandi didnt care.

I had lots of fun throughout the whole day. I will say that first.
I didn't get a full and complete run in the whole day.
My first time trial i blew four vacuum hoses and ran a 13.4, after putting the old vacuum hoses on for my second run i ended up missing 4th and riding the rev limiter through the finish for a 13.3, I was pissed about that one because that was a really really strong run, might have hit the 12's.
First round dial was a 13.15 and my competitor was a 13.7, i ended up beating him off the line:D and killing him, so i railed the brakes at the end of the track for a 13.4.
Last run i red lighted with a -.030 light, after seeing the red light i hesitated, then just punched it for a 13.3. Oh well.

You guys might have seen me, I had a Black 96 Talon parked right next to the TurboGarage tent.

Congrats Steve! You took me out in the first round. Well, I actually handed it to you with the redlight!

Better to lose to someone who goes on to do well, than some ricer who doesn't know how to stage.

I was running against one of the turbogarage guys during my 2nd time trial run but missed a gear so I wasn't able to give him a good run,I did nail him on the tree but missed 3rd. He ran a 13.29@104 while my best was my first run of the day with my first 13.2 and I'm still at only 17psi.

I lost in the 2nd or 3rd round...I made a few 13.1 second passes though. Not bad for a basically dead/blown turbo and street tires.

You must have had to take quite the shit to be gone as long as you were. This was funny then, it's even more funny now. Now that you have told us what you really were doing. Had I known you had to take a shit so bad Sunday when this all was going down we really would have let you have it.
