Will the NBA draft coming up on June 26 the Nuggets are projected to pick Anothony with the #3 pick. Also the Nuggets should have some money to spend on free agents this year, maybe we can be a decent team if someone makes a few right moves.
ESPN Breakdown on Anothony (http://sports.espn.go.com/nbadraft/d03/tracker/player?playerId=18433)

Lebron is gonna come out how kobe did I think, slow at first but now look at Kobe
carmello is an all around player, if Lebron is better, carmello is right behind him
I dont even watch baseketball too much, I only watched the tournamet because I was in a pool heh

I dont think Lebron cant live up to all the hype that has been givin to him, I mean he is already set for life and hasnt even palyed a single nba game, if he isnt the next "Jordan" most people will look down at that. I think Carmelo will do better in the NBA than James...

yea, lebron is awesome, but he is playing against highschools, when he gets to the NBA he will still be a good player, but not the next jordan, he will try to run things by himself where as carmello is the better team player, and thats what you need to win

you know what they say, the Nuggets are as good as the worst player on the team.

Carmelo will be good for the nuggets. The issue is if the nuggets get him will they keep him and try to build a playoff caliber team. Or as history has it will they trade him off to a playoff prone team.

James is gonna come out and get a reality check. he is going to realize he is playing against men that are all as big and strong as him. He won't jsut be able to dunk on NBA players whenever he feels like it. That is going to force him to be a better all around player rather than just a good athelete. However in a couple years he will be awesome, he is going to be just like Kobi. It took Kobi about 4 years to come around the the caliber that he is at now. And Kobi is possibly the best player in the NBA right now, however Tim Duncan is excellent and could also be the best player out there right now too. At any rate both James and Carmello are good players, but I think in the long run James will probably be a more dominating player
Anyhow I don't think Carmello will make the nuggets better, he may be good, but the nuggets need a lot more than just one good player. Carmello probably won't be with the nugggets for long if history repeats itself.

carmello seems like a player who will contribute right away, he wouldnt need 2-3 years to adjust

But he probalby will need some time to adjust. Colloege ball is not like NBA ball either, he may not need sas much time as James will, but in the long run think James will be better. I mean Tim Duncan was an awesome college player and he didn't come out dominating the NBA and now he is one of the best if not the best otu there. It is a toss up between him and Kobi for me...........

duncan played extremely well when he was a rookie, wasnt he the rookie of the year? he didnt have as many points cuz he didnt get as many plaing minutes, but has been very consistent over the years. Kobe, on the other hand, took some time to get where he is at.

Tim Duncan = 1998 Rookie of the Year
He has won just about everything you can get.

I know all that about Tim Duncan, but he still was not the caliber of player he is now. It is natural for that to happen. These guys are not used to playing against as many really good players as there are in the NBA...............

Now I hope we can snag someone good from the free agent pool. That would be cool if Jason Kidd decided to play for the Nuggets even though it a very long shot (he narrowed his choices to Spurs, Nets, Nuggets, or Mavs.

I agree most NBA rookies need to experience playing at the next level and I think Carmelo had his share of experience after winning the biggest game in NCAA basketball, he played in situations on a very high level and the thing I like about this guy is attitude on the court (the smile). He can shoot the long ball and if you play to close he will burn you inside, he is doesnt mind passing the ball as well, very smart in the way he plays the game. He will defintaly give the Nuggets some offense that they very well need. Maybe it will spark some people to go to some games, I know I defintaly wanna see him play in person... It's been a while since we had a real player in this town.

a lot of it is just a maturity thing for a lot of these players. Every one of them will be better in a few years.

i dont think kidd will wind up in denver, i think he is gonna be with spurs, but it will be interesting to see what the nuggets will do with their 25 million this summer. it would be nice to see carmelo play with nene, howard? gilbert arenas may be?

Yeah I dont think Kidd will land here as well, he is looking to get a ring with a team and with him and duncan that would be a crazy combo. I think the Nuggets still have to sign Howard, Jalen Rose of the Bulls said he would love to play with Howard again...we will see how they spend all that money!
