Sick and tired of my rust... I wanna get it fixed, but I don't wanna pay a shitload of money for a bodyshop to fix it. Heard that you can Dremel the rust off, use some Zero Rust, then using backstraps and some fiberglass compound to do it yourself... has anyone done this? What's your experience been like?

that might work, is it just surface rust or has it ate clear through the metal? and where is it at?

It's gone through the metal... it's around the wheel wells.

my neighbor acroos the street restors lots of old cars. what he does is cut off the bad metal, then weld on new sheet metal, bondo, and paint (well not that few of steps but if you know anything about auto body you know what im talking about)

how much bondo experiance do you have? welding exp? if you know how to MIG weld and know how to do your own bondo, you should be able to do it yourself.

Yea, it goes off about 3 inches at the one spot - that is the worst. Well, anyone in CO who can hook me up with a good price.... please let me know. :(

Rust is like cancer. Chances are that you can cut and weld away but there's still going to be rust. Bondo also collects moisture and it will crack if done wrong. Just get a body shop or talk to me on AIM about it.

Anyone know of a good body shop in Colorado? I would really like to get this done - that, or if anyone has been to any junkyards recently... seen any 3rd gen Preludes?
