How much do these motors go for? www.hmotorsonline.com have them for 3200, but that seems a little high. Whatis a good reasonable price for a complete changeover, and can any local shops get it? I dont trust the internet.

$2900 plus shipping for an OBD1 GSR change over..........or $3200 for an OBD2 change over........both of those prices are right on.

This says 2899.00 plus shipping

I bet he said 3200 shipped, usually he can go down a $100 for shipping if you pay cash or just tell him to lower it if he can. I bought my changeover from Steve and it's still running strong. If any sensors are broken he will replace them.

You can buy my setup for half that price and don't have to pay for shipping.

Bee18c, is this a complete changeover? with tranny, ecu wires and little things like that?

The engine is complete but no tranny and wire harness, but even if you bought a tranny seperate you would still save a lot of money. This is pretty much a Type R engine (B18C5), with some exceptions. The motor is disassembled currently but I can always put if back together for a full motor.

Futuresi, whats the difference between the link you posted, and one that is a complete changover?
Beec1, how many miles on the parts, and any info you can give me from the build up would be helpful.

the one futuresi posted doesn't include axles, shift linkage, and motor mounts

Ther is about 50k on the block, when I took out the pistons the sleeves were still shiny, meaning the motor was well taken care off. The head...I bought off the net, so I don't have much info on it, but the condition is just like any B16A1 head. The block and head are stock, and have never been machined. Let me know if you have any other questions.

For good prices on swaps, I recommend www.hybridrevolution.com. Erik is the cheapest I have seen (you just have to email for prices, they aren't on the site.) I do believe when I asked him that a b18c swap was 2800, though.

I am trying to sell the block complete only, it's much too hard to sell just the block and then try to sell the crank, rods and piston. You can however buy it complete and sell the internals or just keep em'. Hope you understand. Price is $700 OB

hmm...well, if you decide to sell just the block let me know, thanks.
Some dude came up to me teh other day when i was sittin in my friends teg. and told me he would sell me a GS-R engine for 1200. Tranny, Ecu, the works. He said no miles too. Seemed to good to be true.

You should have gotten a number to contact him at, and then called the cops and had them set up a sting.

Yeah, and then buy the swap at the next police auction and get a legitimate sales receipt for it.
