DAMN! Look at this sh!t, any thoughts?

Ok, I took of the intake pipe of my 99 Si w/ Greddy turbo. This is what I found. I actually stole this pic from CSI but my intake looked EXACTLY the same. From what I have read it's most likely oil from the valve cover breather. I have already disconnected the hose from my valve cover to intake. I am going to let it vent to atmosphere untill my catch can shows up. Here comes the big stupid general question. WHAT IS CAUSING THIS?

Its caused by blowby. Your stock internals were never built for boost. So when you boost the engine it builds pressure in the crankcase pushing oil vapor adn misted oil into the PCV system. This in turn gets reburned in the intake system ormally butiwtht he increased crankcase pressures your engine has it cant burn it fast enough and it begins to pool in the intake. (pre-turbo) A catch can will take care of most of this problem by venting the excess pressure and "catching" the oil in the system before it is sent through the intake. Also a larger PCV hose nad valve will help the air in the case recycle quicker.

This even happens on my Talon which was made for boost. One thing you should do is take off your intercooler, because it is going to be filled with that shit and wash it out with gasoline.
