A GSR block girdle will withstand well over 300 hp so if you are planning a mildly modded GSR powerplant then thats the best choice. The Z-10 is an aftermarket company that makes them out of Billet aluminum. They are a little more expensive but necessary for high HP aplications. (500 and up)

my project : b18a1 block
ITR oil and water pumps
b18c1 p&p'ed head
USDM ITR pistons
ITR outer springs
portflow inners
ti retainers
skunk2 stage 2 cams
skunk2 intake manifold
dc sports 4-1 header
AEM CAI

i shouldnt be pushing over 220 at the crank with that, so a gsr block girdle should be fine? what do i need then? gsr bearings and bearing caps?

yeah they work on B16s too.

Also on a side note, if you are going to run Ti retainers on a street car you should look into having them coated. The retainers and springs dont always get along and may end up breaking the retainer. See H-T for more info on the coating process and company that does it.

naturally a know-it-all but I did attend two years mechanical schooling, 6 weeks Chrysler Corp school, 90% factory trained Honda/Acura School and 12 years of honda service school of hard knocks. Basically I havent spent a day in the last 15 years not learning something about cars, it just happens that Hondas are the ones that keep on teaching me.
