Supposedly PPIR will be opening a new drag strip. I heard this on the news about 10 minutes ago and checked their site but there was nothing on the site. The main goal is to get kids off the streets and offer them a safer closer place to race than PMI.

when ever they say their goal is to keep kids off racing in the streets its always BS, they just want money.
but that is great news, that should be closer than Bandimere for me (its still about an hour away though:( )

That'd be cool. I hope it's a 1/4, not a 1/8. I want a chance to catch up to the AWDs.

That would be a great idea and should be able to make some money by doing that and maybe hold some events in the future.

PPIR is more of a pro. racing place, so im sure they would have jet drags and stuff...and I think a jet-drag race wouldn't be very exiting for a 1/8 mile

That'll be nice for the Springs guys but I'm glad we have Bandi up here.

That would be really cool, it's like 10 minutes from my house:)

maybe it would give bandimere some competition and a possible reason to lower or leave pricing for the events alone.

Location (just like kissing) is everything and Bandi is where more of the population is and overall would be affected very little by another strip that is 2 hours away but PMI might just be put out of it's misery.

I can tell you that Bandimere's prices will never be going down. only up. you can't even imagine what their insurance cost.

that would be nice to see. much closer than making the hr+ drive to bandi. i only ask that they make it nice, something comparable to bandimere as far as track preperations and facilities go. if it turns out to be another pmi Ill just make the trip to bandimere.
