Blew the tranny

I blew my tranny in the talon this morning at 3am. WTF! None of the gears work at all. So now I'm lookin for a tranny. :(

Ouchies! I blew my tranny up a few months ago, not fun eh? Look for a 91 GVR4 Tranny, i bet youll like the taller 1st gear a lot more than our first gear stock. Thats what i put in my TSI after i popped it and i love it soooo much. Are you sure its your Tranny?? Could it be your clutch?

Are you sure? Have you checked the linkage cables to see if they are still attached to the tranny case?

I lost one of the clips on a roadtrip from Colorado to Ohio, and lost a few gears when the cable came loose. A few zipties later I was a happy camper again, until I got the car home and could fix it properly.

Try Kormex. They sell rebuilt transmission for most DSM's I beleive.

typically if you blow a tranny in a talon you will still have 3 & 4 not always but if there was no indication of tranny problems before the time of the incedent it is possible that the pressure plate broke and you have no pressure on the clutch disc check this out first I seen it alot that and my girlfriends car blew the trans and it still has 3 & 4 and yes it is a 91 tsi. but check it first I work on cars every day and I have never seen a tranny go all at once

check the clutch or the linkage first. is those are ok and it is the tranny, i know of a place that has a few for cheap.

My tranny,clutch,and labor cost 1800. It shifts really good now.
