Does anyone know the function/purpose of euro city lights? It's just an extra small bulb on a bracket around the headlight bulb, but when does it function? Does it replace the daytime running lights? I'm buying vento headlights to replace my non-working cracked one and they come with this light and I just want to know what it deos.

they just make it look like you have some colored headlights up there. Its really just a show thing and reasanably illegal to drive with them on..but they are a nice touch on a show car..a little rice..but not too over the top, they are better than just a plain old boring clear housing anyway..

Au contrairé! City Lights are used in other countries in conjunction with parking lights when they're on. This identifies cars as cars better when just the parking lights are on, also, if your headlight goes out, it's back-up to make you not look like a motorcycle.
I bought Gay-Dee-M headlights for my car because one of them had been shot w/ a BB gun when the previous owner had the car. The Civics in Japan have city lights. Here's a pic w/ my parking/city lights on.

The new si has city lights too... its not in any way illegal, not at all. the city lights stock are more a goldish color where the headlights are lot whiter. If you put a blue bulb or red bulb in them ... sure it becomes illegal.
Actually, now that I think about it... shitloads of new cars have them.
