This might be a little early to ask, but does anyone know if they are going yet. I know I am, I will be there praying for the low 13's. TurboGarage.com is going to have a tent and a pit area so that is where i will be, there will be a Black Talon TSi AWD, a Red Talon TSi AWD, Black Eclipse GSX and maybe some others. Stop by.

We should do the group pit thing and represent HAI,I think we should pit right at the top of the staging lanes like last year since it helped reduce the traffic through the pits and was easy to get in the lanes right away.

Any cost to watch? How much does it cost to run? How many runs do you get?
Seeing as how it's on a weekend for once, I think I might show up. Even though I'm not a big 1/4 mile freak, I'd like to know what I'd run, and put that embarrasing 17.1 behind me (yeah, I didn't know what the hell I was doing; it was my first time!). Maybe I can break into the 15's, woo hoo! You know you're jealous. :D
BoarderAJAX

Spectator: $15
Show Car: $30
Race : $55
You get atleast three runs, but depends on how far you go before you get eliminated or win
The import events are always pricy which sucks

Jeez, how do they get away with charging that!? I'll be racing at Second Creek on Saturday for less than that. I think I'll just save my 1/4 mile curiousity for a Test & Tune or something.
BoarderAJAX
06-12-2003, 10:25 PM
Yeah, that would be smart, because each run you get is like 2 hours apart, they are expecting over 700 racers
Mike
it's not guaranteed 3 runs. it always depends on how many people show up, cause if lots and lots of ricers show up...then you're looking at 300 ricers racing 17 secs +...so that's 150 runs at about 45 secs a piece...and that's only ONE time trial...i'd shoot for 1 time trial and then eliminations.

I think it was about the same price. Its kinda steep sure..but its an entire DAY of racing. I have a lot of fun at that event..its a good time. Lot of ricers to laugh at.. :)
-Bedlam
Only low 13s? Come on - you own a parts & install business. If I had access to the parts & (probably) pricing you do, I'd be shooting for mid 11s... :)
Good luck, man.

Yeah it's pricey to enter but if you know how to drive and are consistent you can win some $$$ plus you get to see what the true fast imports in the area are,the down side is that you see all the ricey cars the western region has to offer also.
I think the gates open at 8am but if you want a good pit spot then be there in line before 7.

I have more than your average LS ;) Titus got his GS-R to run 15.7 when all he had was intake and exhaust, and I have a few significant advantages that he didn't. I don't think it'll happen on a hot day though.

As for John's post, I don't own the business, Ray Faatz and Ryan Larsen do, belive me if i had access to parts at that price i would be shooting for 11's or quicker:D

Man, with all of the interest in this event you think some of you all would show up for Club Clash on Friday nights.
Everyone keeps bitching about the price and the crowd. Well Friday nights are far less crowded, and cheaper as well.......maybe you all should give it a try.
It'll be interesting to see how many people actually show up for this event, since for now it's mostly all talk.

Its on certain friday night of each month, should say on the schedule. You have to be a registered racer at bandi also. You race for a "club" at Club clash. Every race you win gets your club points and everyone battles it out for top spot :)
BoarderAJAX
06-16-2003, 12:01 AM
That sounds like fun is it dial in or heas up? I will try to make it to the next one.
Mike
You can still run with your club if you aren't registered for the year too, but your points don't get added to the clubs standings.

Mike
Glad to see your interest in joining us for Club Clash. I will try to answer all your questions since i know most answers.
Cost- $30.00.......This will get you in the gate and all the racing. You will need to have the car teched for racing. Once that is done you are all set.
Come up and join us in the pits and be ready for a great night of racing. Don't be scared of the prices like some of the others on this site. If you have talent at bracket racing you will get more then your monies worth, as Club Clash has many rounds of eliminations. People who complain of only getting 3 runs down the 1320' do that cause they don't get to go rounds for whatever reason. Little do they understand that practice makes perfect, the more runs you make the better you become. Look @ John Force for an example.
Racing is not heads up but is dial your own car, racing. You collect points in 3 catagories:
1.) For yourself
2.) For the Club Overall
3.) For our 5- Man Team if you are chosen to be on that team at that event, there is a different 5-man team about every Club Clash depending on who is hot at that time.
To collect points you NEED TO REGISTAR!!!!!......this will cost and additional $25.00 I believe. Benefits to this are:
1.) Can collect points at the Club Clash Events.
2.) Can use express tech at all events entered, no more waiting in a long line........THIS IS ESPECIALLY HELPFUL WHEN YOU GO TO THE IMPORT ONLY EVENTS, THEN WHEN 500 RICERS SHOW UP AND NEED THERE CAR TECHED, YOU JUST ZOOM RIGHT AROUND THEM, SIGN A FORM, GET YOUR RUN CARD AND YOU ARE BACK TO THE PITS BEFORE ANYONE TRIES TO STEAL YOUR COVETED PIT SPOT.
3.) Get a sport quart bottle which entitels you to 1 free soda and all the refills you want for $1.00 each.
4.) Discount to get in to Mile High Nationals............just to name a few.
I look foward to seeing you represent our team at the next Club Clash.
NEXT CLUB CLASH EVENT IS JULY 27......GATES OPEN @ 3:00PM
Our team name is Colorado Import Alliance......CIA for short. Our club designation letter is P.
Any questions just let me know.

We are currently 3rd for the 5 man team (that was with me and Tobi going out in the 1st round) and 5th in the overall points.
Not bad for the lower than expected turnout and the event being cut a few rounds short.

I think I'm going to boycott Bandimere...seriously..I was just looking at the description for the import event...
"Jun/11/2003 - IMPORT & SPORT COMPACTS SHOWCASE THEIR FAST & FURIOUS NATURE AT BANDIMERE SPEEDWAY"
What the hell is that supposed to be? So there are a LOT of ricers at the event..sure..but honestly. If we are supposed to "showcase our nature" does that mean we get to jack semis, stage illegal races in the pits or return roads, shoot at the police that are there, turn on lots of neon and loud music (ok so this last one is already done by lots of people)
I honestly think I'm kinda offended by them saying stuff like that...here I thought they took the import crowd seriously. Guess I was wrong. :p

"Fast & the Furious" has just become a buzz term for everything now including in commercials I've heard for grocery shopping;it attracts attention and Bandimere wants to attract a wide range of people to fill up the stands,it's not for the real racers at Bandi. They need to make money and the real money is from the spectators so that's why they are using the term albeit a gay one.

The more the merrier. :)
Bandimere has generally drawn about 7000 people an event so there's always room for more.
The event in September could draw a few thousand more if the weather is nice and the big boys actually show up.
Doesn't really bother me. I am there to win a race, I could care less how they market it.
What ever it takes to sell tickets and make the winners purse higher I am all for. Now if they could just keep all the gangstas who like brandishing weapons out of the facility I would be a happy man.

The one in front of the staging lines... you can practically roll your car down to stage.
HONDA GHANDI

I will be dropping the truck and trailer off teh day before to insure a front spot in line. I will probably pit above the staging lanes since the regular pits are full of teenage dipshits. I will probably be the first one of our group in there so Ill save as much pit space as I can but once its full youre on your own. Anyone pitting in my area will be towed. And those of you who know me know its true. I got a big fucking truck and I wont hesitate to use it. :D

Since I will be having a full weekend of racing (Fri., Sat. & Sun.) I will be leaving my car up there either in line or in the pits on Saturday.
I may have to ride in the gate in your truck Tobi if my car is inside......we will see. Don't worry, I don't drink coffee so I won't be spilling anything.
I am also thinking that you all should come out Friday night for some practice for Sunday. I know most people might be a little rusty and could maybe use the practice. Another benefit is you could support the club during Club Clash.

I think I will bring a couple of cases of water and gatorade and sell them to those who dont bring drinkies. Shit Im feeling generous enough to donate the proceeds to Brian's "How the hell are we going to pay for the server this month?" fund.

Now if we had a BBQ...we could sell burgers and hotdogs too! Cooked over race gas! yeah! I can imagine how much THAT would add to the flavor!

I will be selling Viagra/Ephederine cocktails. That way anyone who wishes to bang some track whore all night won't have any problems with..........well you get the idea. We all know there will be plenty of those half naked bitches there.

That doesnt sound very safe! Viagra does some weird stuff to your circulatory system the way it is..you toss some ephedrine in the mix you'd likely kill someone! At least they would die happy right? You'd never have to tell them what was in it I guess..reminds me of that whole Viagra gum thing..weird.
Definately going to take the video camera this year..if only I had some way to keep it a little sneaky. Maybe I could go all Girls Gone Wild style...hrmm... :)

I was supposed to be moving but that fell through so I'll probably show up, just as a spectator though, my ricey civic don't go to fast.
It would be cool to see how some of the HAI members do though.
Good Luck!

I was lined up against a black 1st gen associated with turbogarage but I missed a gear and couldn't give him a good run. He hit a 13.29@107mph on that run.
On my first run of the day I ran a 13.25@102.5mph and that was just with tuning my 550s a little better and with 105 octane but still the same 17psi on my 18g and stock side mount.

who had the fastest all motor car up there? what'd he/she run?

That was actually a small jet in that Focus, even the top jet cars are still almost a full second slower than a top fuel car since jets require a little more room than a 1/4 mile before they really get going.
