When I first got to Colorado I was looking for shops to work on my car. One shop that I found and I would never recommend to any ony is HondaSix, they suck they dont know what the hell they are doing they are located in Colorado Spring on Omaha street around that area. Avoid this shop at all cost. :guns:

I think they are called Six Motorworks. It's where the old "E-Speed" was.

I've never been there but I know the people who own it and all, is it bad? Cause i really want to know.
Grip Int'l is a pretty good place though, by circle and platte. They gave me a great quote for my 91 integ to do a CL front conversion.

HEY!!! Im going to be a mechanic, in i am probabally one of the nicest, most honest and nobile people you'll ever meet. There are those who do lie, and steal, but its wrong to say all.

I've been a mechanic for about 6 years, and have walked quite a few times due to practices by others in teh shop that i felt were ethically wrong.
If you have any problems with a shop that you feel is overcharging you or just plain screwin ya, look into the Motor Vehicle Repair Act.
Pretty much says that if a shop replaces something without good reason and you pursue it, they jsut fixed your car for free.
If theres enough intrest i'll type it up and post it, but it is quite lengthy and i'm pretty sure its on the web somewhere.
I pride myself on being a very honest, very straight forward mechanic, and refuse to pull the bait-n-switch crap that is so common, and i absolutely refuse to sell stuff that isn't needed.
What it comes down to, avoid the large chains. Brakes plus is probably the absolute worst in colorado. Midas/meineke are not far behind. I have worked for all 3 and was there for a month at the longest due to needing to pay rent or getting fired for telling the salesman if he wanted to screw someone, do it himself etc etc.
The local mom and pop shops are usually teh best. No corporate office, no political bs etc.

well...for your info on this subject...all of which can be verified and proven by the good ole CSPD.....about 1 week ago, a employee of a local CS speed shop, off of omaha and powers, was arrested while in the process of stealing a acura integra.....from what the detectives have told me, and from the copies of the police reports i bought from the station, the employee in question admitted to more that 25 of the euro hondas coming up missing in the springs....thats more than enough to show why you should avoid this shop....six motorworks......and for those who are gonna try and justify it or prove me wrong, the police reports are public record and anyone can go an buy it.....
Cool then please share...I would love to read them...I have known the guys that Run Six Motorworks for well over a year...and in all honesty I would love to know how they have the time to do these thefts...mainly because 1 has been in Cali for a little bit and the other is a manager here at my place of employement...I have had work done down there and I think they are better than most people I have ever dealt with...and that goes for general business not just car shops go. I just hate seeing rumors fly around when no one has shown proof...like I said...if you have proof...feel free to share.

I don't think it was the place so much as the one person who worked there. But I really don't know anything more than I've read in this post, just thought I'd at least let you know that I could imagine that it was one guy and know one else knew about it.

Well after talking to both owners...they are not out of business...they were under investigation and it sounds like just like rumors of most shops all talk and no proof. If there was legit proof I think for the safety of all people it would have been posted on one board and then on and on....The racing community is a tight one...why would you with hold information like that...proof of a shop robbing peoples cars, come on...quit talking and just prove it.
If you are not going to show proof then STFU. Have a nice day. Drive through.
