hey guys I got this website where you can get XBOX and some other stuff for like $15-50. For those of you who have never heard of this it is called a prize matrix, you pay for something like an Ebook, then they in turn put you in a list to receive something like an XBOX. Anyway, the more people you get to sign up the faster the matrix thing goes through the list, which I am currently signed up on, so if any of you guys are interested check out this website http://www.ematrixusa.com/index.shtml. I just want more people to sign up so I will get my XBOX quicker (catch is you gotta wait like 1-3 weeks) and maybe you guys can be happy getting an XBOX for $15! I swear to god I am not spamming my beloved HAI!!! anybody ever used one of these?

This is like those eBay pyramids. They don't work, you just wasted your money. It is bullshit, I've seen websites do extensive research and proof on why the don't work.

Don't post "Pyramid Schemes" here. Sorry you got worked over, but honestly don't drag others into it. INSTEAD, why don't you post, AFTER YOU GET YOUR XBOX for $15, let us know your experience, but I doubt it will ever happen.

There really is a fool born every minute. I think I'll have to attempt to quote Dr Jones on this one..."its a tax for people that dont know math"
I think your odds are prolly as good taking your $10-$15 and throwing it in a machine in Blackhawk.
At least in Blackhawk..you dont end up looking like a spamwhore when you are playing. :)

Bingo... so lets see. xbox for $15. On amazon they cost $179. So if you want to buy one, you need $179, not $15. So it works by you paying $15 for someone elses, then eventually people buy you yours. So it takes ~12 (12*$15=$180) people to buy one xbox. This is probably a small number too... i'm sure the site takes some money off each person that applies to put into their own pocket and pay for the site and all that.
So lets say that they have given away 5 xboxes already. That means that 60 people have payed the $15. 5 have already gotten their boxes. That leaves 55 people left. Then you sign up as person number 56. Before you get yours, each of the 55 people infront of you need to get theirs. That takes an additional 12 people for each one. So, 660 people (12 * 55) need to sign up for it. Then, the 12 people to buy you yours, so 672 people later you have your xbox.
Now even if a fool is born every minute, they all aren't going to spend the money on that site. I'm sure you can see how fast this goes up (for the guy whos money got you your box, 8064 people need to sign up). That's why piramid schemes only work for the first few people involved. Everyone else gets screwed.
Face it, xbox's cost $180, not $15. Only 1/12 people who sign up for that thing are going to get an xbox. So yes, i'm sure you probably could find a game at blackhawk that does have better chances.
At any given time 1/12 of everyone who has ever signed up for it are waiting for an xbox. when you sign up your going to need 12x the number of people who have already signed up to sign up to get yours.
Like i said 12 is probably a low number too. My guess is it would be closer to 15-18 to take care of all the overhead.
You don't have to know why e^(pi*i) = -1 to understand this... it's easy math... infact it's probably more common sense.
