I'll let the timeslip do all the talking :) Don't know why the dates screwed up, typical PMI for ya. I'm P281 :D . Again, this is a BONE STOCK 2004 Impreza WRX STi. Needless to say I am very pleased with this car. :)

that's sweet... Evo what??
Wasn't there an argument a bit ago that the evo was faster stock? hmm imagine once the cats are gone and the boost level is even close to the EVO's 19psi on it's 2.5 semi-closed deck boxer!! cya later EVO :D
Heh heh heh. With a few $$ sunk into the motor, can you say 11s? Mid 13s on a 100% stock car at 5800 feet is pretty darned impressive. Congrats.

That's not Bandi,it's PMI which is at what? Just under 5000ft,still impressive though.
We need to see an EVO down at PMI now.
I've seen magazine run times for the EVO and the STi and both were in the 13 flat range, both cars are still competitive in stock trim.

Fanboy! :)
That is a pretty impressive time however..as close as the 2 cars have been in all of the magazines..I think its only a matter of someone getting an E8 thats willing to flog the shit of it..should hit similar times.
The magazines even said that they dont recommend trying to repeat the times they got out of these cars, likely to turn your clutch and/or transmission into a smouldering pile.
I cant really afford either right now..heh

I also noted that that can't even spell 'Friday' on the timeslip.
31/DEC/1999 - :D
Come up and race at a real strip and do it at a Club Clash with us,we need the turnout. :)

Yeah, morons :). I might do that. I think the car has a 13.4 in it, I was actually getting alot of rear wheelspin. I swear I get better traction on the street than PMI :D.

Steve,
very nice times. Congrads. Much better times than that guy who was running at Bandi. I think he was trapping around 92? Are you planning on modding her? How far you plan on going. I think my times are running out of time quickly! :( I guess I better enjoy and live it up now while I still have my time slips!

Just a note, Bandimere's time slips had the wrong dates all weekend too.

To be fair that guys car only had about 200miles on the odo and he wasn't that aggressive on his launches. My friend knows the guy.

Impressive times! Wonder how long it will be before a WRX tuning company gets ahold of one and puts some stuff into it like Buscher has with the EVO. And im praying the vishnu fags dont get ahold of one, they will probably make it run slower

Awesome times man. I've seen 2 or 3 blue sti's here in town over the past few days. They look awesome. I would definetly take one over an evo, but that's ust me.

No shiot about the Vishnu thing. You can see how slow my Vishnu WRX is running. Talonstylz, how does 13.2 off the bottle leave you? Far behind I'll bet.
How many Buschur or TXS cars are in the twelves up here by the way?
And did I mention that I have absolutely no dyno time. Just a simple outdated chip and bolt ons.
Ha Ha Ha!!!

Also, Godspeed has one as well as VIVID on Nasioc.com. God has only turned the boost up and installed a few other basics. He is already making over 300 ponies to the wheels.
Why didn't I just wait 2 years? Oh yeah, cause now I can wait 2 more and buy a used one.

Sounds like a crazy weird static injectors at altitude sort of thing to me. If it lasts which it appears to be doing, you are making MAD power per mod out of your setup.

j/k Nice to see what it can do. What are your plans for the car?

No i havent actually had the parts since i havent owned a Subi. But i have heard from quite a few people on how their $1000 ecu tuning only nets 3 or 4 hp. Doesnt sound too good to me. And Since they badmouthed the EVO so bad and said it only put down 180whp, doeesnt make them seem like a very good company. I give subi props for the STI, it would be a fun car to have, but just the vishnu guys ive heard are a bunch of assclowns. And as for the buscher cars, i dont think hes run any of em up here other than the full drag talon, but at sea level with minor modding im sure youve all seen the 12.5 outta the evo. I wanna see what someeone will pull with the STI at sea level, im curious. And for the 1/4 mile times right now, well ive pulled a 15.06 on 15PSI tapering to 14 and no exhaust with a badly slipping clutch. Once i get my 18G and fuel system knocked out, a low 13 off the bottle should be easy to hit.

How many PSI do the STIs run stock?
ericjames
06-09-2003, 10:45 PM
+/- 14.5psi
MUCH more room to add boost over the EVO's 19.5 psi
Talonstylz
06-09-2003, 10:54 PM
all you need is some better fuel injectors/pump and you can pump out more than 19 on the evo

Downpipe, intake and MBC @ 16.8 psi got 301whp and 312wtrq on the STi :D. Stock was 248whp.

wow, thats some pretty good power gains. I havent seen any numbers off the EVO with those mods, but i remember the EVO dynoing 240whp. Are those the mods you are gonna go with at some time??? Oh, and i wanna ride!! :D

Yeah, but how much more? So you can improve a few psi, look at the margin of possible gain compared to the STi. Don't get me wrong, I like both rides. I even like the EVO look a bit better (except for the tail lights). EVO seems better suited to finess, while the STi is just brute force. I do like the quick turn ratio of the EVO. I would love to try to drive either one of these bad boys (hint).

For a bunch of "assclowns" they really do make some kickass products. My sugguestion would be to buy a WRX and get some stuff for Shiv and then compare to your 15 sec 1/4. :D
