I had one that I did the KLZE Engine swap in and had it badged as a mazda to fuck with people but it was a built KLZE that would pull low 14's

My old buddy had a Mazda MX-6 GT which had the same 12 valve 2.2 liter turbo intercooled motor as the Probe GT. Stock they're 146 horsepower and 168 foot pounds torque.

With basically the entire HKS setup on it; removed cat & HKS cat-back, PFC F-FCON, Power Flow intake and EVC boost controller he ran 14.2@102 at 2200 feet elevation. Not bad, in my book. He could have put a bigger intercooler on it or upgraded turbo and run faster.

This was about 10 years ago when import tuning was in it's infancy, too. The track was Los Angeles County Raceway in Palmdale, California.

but that was with the 4 cylinder and not the 200hp 200ft/lbs 2.5l V6, the MX-6 from JDM had the KLZE which was what I had and it dynoed at 235 fwhp and 228 ft/lbs

first of all, fords styling always suck, they have constant recalls and well.... theyre domestic ;) just playin not all domestics suck, just most. just a few months ago the #1 selling car in the country was the ford focus so they gotta be doin something right. But odd how their biggest success in a while was styled after an import car.. ;) my gf has one, a 2001 and fuck, it has recalls constantly it sucks. The other night we went out to dinner and when we went back to the car, the key wouldnt go into the ignition all the way and we had to have it towed the ford dealership. FORD=SHIT

Nope, I don't think that's it at all. I think it's because there are a LOT, and I mean a SHITLOAD of stupid people out there. What is it, 33% or less of the U.S. population has a college degree? Out of those billions of people in the 66%, how many would you venture buy fords??? I'd probably say 30% or higher. Nope, it's not that they are doing something right other than appealing to stupid people all over. Honda and Ford are two companies with a lot of differences, yes ill give you that honda is more reliable, but when you soup your fucking hondas up to match the power of a mustang the relibility goes down

lets see, looks of the cars......I think all hondas are plain jane cars except for the newer preludes. Hondas are only good for one thing, economy....oh wait, going to the food market, my bad guys

I'd rather drive a car that has more than the minimum then drive a car that last a couple years longer. and btw, I know some guy who has a mustang with 500,000 on the engine and it runs great

and personally I like a car that not a lot of people have. I like to go out driving and see the same model and say wow look at that instead of counting 30+ civics a day

not saying ford doesnt sell much of each car, all their cars are big sellers, thats one of the reasons why Thunderbirds SC are one of my favorite cars, you dont see them everyday

How is it styled after an import car in any respect?

They used to be a euro only commuter can then they were brought over to this market. Have you seen the turbo versions they sell in europe? Have you seen their WRC cars, they fucking rock.

and yes i was aware of those things, and yes the wrc focuses are the shit, i agree,but the daily driver american models are nowhere close to either those or the turbo'ed versions...

and as for the comment someone made about when you soup up a honda its less reliable... how is a eg hatch with a stock b18c1 or b18c5 less reliable than the stock motor?

v6 probes=locked up water pumps and bent valves
together they equal wiring problems and giant fireballs
not to mention ford hasnt made a decent car since the 69' shelby gt 500
