I'm selling my small 16G off my GSX. It has about 2500 miles on it. Always been timed down after runs. My car ran a 14.3 with this turbo, K&N filter and a boost controller at 14psi, everything else stock. It's in great shape and I'll even help you install it. Call my cell if interested. 720-434-5714 Oh and I want $400 for it.
Small as in "original"? Not smaller than the generic 16g, correct?

im very interested in it, and have the money now too, let me know where you are located.. please e-mail me at highpsi03@comcast.net where did the turbo come from? (what shop)
Ok - the original 16g. If it's in good shape, $400 is a great deal. Have you gone 20g? :)

the original 16g?
Yes. Original as in the original bolt-on replacement for the 14b.

haha there seems to be confusion about this:
Small/Original 16g flows 500cfm
Big 16g flows 550cfm
My understanding is there used to be one 16g, and it flowed 500cfm. Then someone put a bigger compressor wheel in one and called it the big16g, flowing 650cfm, and people started calling it the "big16g" and the 500cfm one (the "original" 16g design) the small 16g.
So, there you have it.
Anyways just thought I would throw that in for any future people wondering about it.
14b flows 405 cfm
16g flows 515 cfm
20g flows 650 cfm
All at 15psi.
550 out of a 16g setup is nice, but I bet it'd get pretty hot once you start pushing it hard, eh? :)

16g - 505
Big 16g - 555
18g - 605
20g- 650
at 15psi
That is what I've always known... even though those numbers aren't much different at all
However, as far as the Big16g goes - the whole "hot" thing you speak of is a good point...
There has been great debate whether the small 16g is actually better than the big 16g due to efficiency and the sizes of the wheels, because the 16g is perfectly matched while the big16g isn't...
I don't mean to hijack this thread, so I will stop. Point is the 16g is a really good and efficient turbo. Good luck with the sale :)
Agreed on the 16g being a great turbo. Gabe ran his laser into the 11s with it, a 75 shot and a 2.5" pressbent exhaust. At bandimere. :)
I may have been off on my CFM quotes, but I don't think so. 405, 515, 650 stick out in my head from a tech session held by Buschur & Glazer at a shootout many yrs ago...
And I'll stop now too - sorry about the thread hijacking. :) :)

That's how I've seen 'em rated.
