Hey,

Dana from Santa Fe, New Mexico here.

My wife has to go to Denver from June 24-28 for an accounting class or something work related like that. I want to bring my WRX up and run at Bandimere. I see there's a Test & Tune on Wednesdays, but I'm not sure I can get to Denver before Thursday myself. Do they run on Fridays? I see they have brackets on Fridays, but do they also allow grudge style racing then?

I ran a 14.17@95.11 last week in Albuquerque and want to see how it would do up there. It's got 10,000 miles on it and feels like it's starting to loosen up a little bit. Gotta love it!

Thanks,

Dana

you can come up and run Club Clash with us that night. You go to the track that night (friday) and pay the $30, go through tech and tehy will give you a number, you put the letter P behind it and then you come up in the pits nad find all the other imports with P on the window and introduce yourself to us. THat simple.

Yeah it'd be cool if you came and raced with us.

You are running a 14.1 @ 95, what RPM are you launching at? I was running that same time and speed constantly(AWD Talon), and i changed the way that i launch ONLY the way i lauched and found out my car had way more power than i thought. It took 7 tenths off of my time. Dropped it to a 13.5 at 99

I launch at about 6000 or a little more. Anything less and it will bog hard and run crappy 60' times. With a 6000 RPM launch I'm getting mid 1.9's for 60 foots. With a little work I could probably get them into the 1.8's and hit a 14.0 or so.

So the $64,000 question is: How did you change your launch to gain .7 seconds?

what i do is I pulse the throttle at about 5800 - 6200 and when the second yellow light goes off, i floor it and drop the clutch. Simple as that.
You should have seen the look on my face when i got the 13.5 timeslip after running like 6 14.2's in a row.

I do the same but I need to not be so jumpy on the second light and wait just another hundreth of a second or so and maybe I won't redlight.
Actually I don't really drop the clutch,I feed it out quickly with a little slippage since I'm trying to reduce driveline shock and potential damage. I also run a little over 40psi in my tires to incur a little more wheelspin. Even with that I still nail 1.8s nearly all the time.
