Yeah, it's me, the guy from New Mexico.

I went to the track in Albuquerque tonight with my WRX Sport Wagon and beat my previous personal best by over 1/4 second!

here's my slip:
R.T.: .025
60 ft: 1.943
660 ft: 9.006
E.T.: 14.175
MPH: 95.117

There was a guy there with a ton of work done to his WRX and was turning 14.4s. He had a CAI, pulleys, up-pipe and turbo-back exhaust, Unichip ECU program and some other stuff!

I'm running a boost controller set to 15 psi, K&N drop-in filter, 2.5" axle-back exhaust and a STi up-pipe. I still have the stock downpipe catalytics and 2.5" mid-pipe.

I hope that means I'm becoming a good driver! I really like my 60 foot times getting into the low 1.9s! I also find that I'm hitting the rev limiter in 3rd gear just before the 1/4 mile now. Hmmmmmm.

Nice. What's the altitude at the track you run at? You should come up here and beat some of the snobby WRX owners :) .

most of the WRX owners here who take their car to the track to actually race are running 12s and 13s

The track in Albuquerque is at 5210 feet, +/-15 feet, according to the GPS tracker I had for like 3 weeks before it broke.

I know there are a ton of WRX guys out there that will stomp the daylights out of me! I just like being considered in the "Wow that's a fast car, man!" category by the locals with what I consider pretty low-key mods to my car.

I need to bring the car to Bandimere the next time I'm in Denver. I usually come for Avalanche games, which means it's winter time and the track is closed! Gotta go during the summer, maybe I'll come to the Grand Prix again this summer... Hmmmm... BTW, Indycars sound like crap at high altitude! They sound much healthier in Long Beach!

Me :)? I hope I do not come across as snobby... I just had ONE goal with my WRX... 12s at Bandimere on pump gas ... [check] :). Trust me after going to Bandimere a few times this year I know there are more than a few cars that are faster than I [heh], and that is fine with me.

As far as low 14s with minimal mods at 5000+ ft that is seriously impressive, considering a stock STi only went a best of 14.8@93mph the other night... [sigh].

Hmmm, that sucks. I guess I'll have to just redeem the STi and bring mine to Bandimere and hopefully pull a high 13 stock. We will see, I think it's very possible. They are running low 13's at sea level so high 13's here should be within reach. :)

Yah that is what we were all expecting... but he ran about 4-5 times and his traps were all in the 92-93mph range :(. I REALLY hope you can do better.

Me too. Those traps are horrible, I think all I need is 96-97mph to pull a 13.9. So whens the next test and tune?:D
