Here are a couple of pics of the tree incident on Sunday. I think you guys that were there might find these interesting...

That's what happens when a great driver is at the limits and makes a little mistake or something goes wrong.
Look at the bumper in the second pic... gotta love 5 mph bumpers; the only damage ended up being a broken turn signal, some scratches, and a small rip in the bumper (looked like it'd be easily fixed). Not bad for taking out a tree!

He ended up 4th out of 22 in STS on Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised if he could have gotten 3rd or 2nd, but his last run was when he took out the tree.
See what happens when you have four doors?
EDIT: OUCH!!! Morgaged!!!!

Nice pic --- who snapped those? ... if I was taking that first one, id be running.... :-)
Glad he and his car are ok.
Weston... the Trials registration is open (about an hour ago) .... better get crackin' --- Im going sunday, I cant afford 45$ twice or I'd go saturday too. Damn unemployement.... hehe.
I had to download the Solo I trials license app and the medical history app from SCCA.org...
See ya there.

I think those were snapped by the professional photographer there. I know Hsun bought that set of pictures from them.
I just registered for the Sunday Solo Trials. I was told that they eliminated the requirement for a Solo Trials license, so I don't think you have to worry about that.

I wanted to do it Sunday because I probably wont get much sleep if I have to get up early on Saturday (I work 2-10 pm M-F), but who knows what my family is doing for Father's day... Plans aren't made until the last second, but I assume they'll want me to come over.

Ha ha, that's funny Wes. I wasn't on this board at the time - I just found this thread.
You are even sillier than I thought you are if you think I am a "great driver."
I am an autocrosser with years and years of experience - that's all. If I was actually any good, I would never, ever have let it get that far out of control. It took me by surprise and I didn't correct fast enough - that's all there is to it.
I've since made a slight change to the rear alignment (increased camber and toe-in) and the car seems to be more stable now without any reduction in agility, so hopefully it will never happen again (knock on keyboard).
