If he gets his way he might be able to run again. I wouldn't mind... clinton jokes were funny and diverse, all the bush ones are just about him being a moron... lets mix it up a tad.

I'd vote for him prolly. He wants to build the economy back up, and I'm all for that.

Clinton had nothing to do with the economy .... the economy happened to be coming back from a down swing and he just got all the credit... Gulf war is what helped the economy the most and who was to credit for that??? bush sr

Seriously, for starters:

The clinton administration settled on a plan that called for slightly less than a $500 billion deficit reduction over five years, largely through a tax increase on the wealthy, at a time when the deficit was running at nearly $300 billion a year. He persuaded his party members in Congress to go along, but only barely, and attracted not a single Republican vote in either chamber. Did the plan work?

Long-term interest rates did go down.

From there we could go into the multiple times he stepped up against the fight to create an internet sales/service tax, and this had a direct effect on how/why the internet boom started.

The Gulf War hurt the economy. The recession during the first Bush administration was caused by an increase in oil prices that were a direct result of the Gulf War.

The economy in the mid-late 90's was due to the tech boom.

just reading the paper yesterday, washington approved an increase in the amount of money they can borrow, like OBSCENE amounts, we're talking trillions of dollars... more than everyone on this site combined will ever make in their entire lifetime. 7.4 trillion to be exact. fucking SICK, and I ask WHY!

Secondly, they approved $15 billion dollars to help fight AIDS in other countries. Granted, other third world countries certainly have the AIDS epidemic worse than North America, but they'd rather subdue and loophole the U.S. Bill of Rights we have here in the U.S. and throw money to other countries than help people here with our own problems. Fucking stupid!

Now I'm not saying the democrats have done it or will do it better, and this is not even a democrat vs. republican argument, just venting at the bullshit our leaders we supposedly elect into office are doing to and for this country.

Economy sucks right now, that is common knowledge. Interestingly enough though, they just approved $1 billion to fund anti-drug tv ads... hows that for an economic plan?

I hope you don't honestly think that the economy's state is directly related to who is in office at the time. It takes SEVERAL years to make any type of impact on the economy. Any good upswing during the clinton administration was due to the prior bush administration. If anything you can attribute our current state to the clinton administration. (and a bunch of greedy .com's)

Here are some things I thought were funny that the current administration did...

Cut funding by a TON when it came to the EPA.
They then made a big deal about giving money to the EPA when they finally raised the funding, which was still a ton lower than what it was originally at.

The top what? 3% of money makers in the US actually see the real tax cuts?

I forget what the statistic is, but if you look at raw numbers and see who in the end got tax cuts I believe ~80% of the tax cuts benifited the people that made the most money.

Those are just facts, not opinion.
