I have heard that in order to fully optimize the use of a VTEC Turbo engine, you do need to do more tuning to get it to work hand-in-hand with each other - some/most people don't which is why they get bad numbers with Si's/GSR's that are boosted. This guy's comment was funny:

I realize that there is more tuning involved, but this guy was the one who asked the question and he is arguing with me. I just don't see how changing an engine to work differently than it was made for is am improvement.

I still would never buy one. I do understand that the Neon has great potential...and is already running much faster than mine. but the reliability is going to be shit and I heard some where that its going to be really hard to turn up the boost cause its all run through the ECU.

um, no other car company will let you upgrade your enginee, and still give you full warranty on it. They have the MOPAR upgrade packages and if you buy them then you still keep your warranty. They have like, 4 stages or somethin, with thee 4th being like 450+HP
