by the way, my friend (who got the v-afc) said to thank you.
he was surprised that EVERYTHING was there and was very happy.
he said the box was even there.
so prelude97 gets a thumbs up from my friend for any future deals.

I just tried to PM you but your mailbox is full so I will just post this.

I must ask man, and please e-mail me at: crazeone69@aol.com or IM me on aim/aol at: vtec92civic

I was going to use an FMU for my fuel management but I said the hell with it and sold it. I am either looking to get a VAFC, or a Greddy Blue Box . . . . how do you like the blue box? Did you install it, and if so was it hard? What kinda car do you have? Someone is offering to sell me his blue box, and I am just un-sure so I figure since you running one I would ask you. Are you running Stock Injectors and fuel pump too? Do you run really rich, or lean at all?

Thanks,
Tyson

The car that I have is a 97 honda prelude. The blue box is the fuel management unit that comes with greddy turbo kits. I am currently using the greddy 97-99 prelude kit on my car. I am also using 370cc injectors( also came with kit). Most blue boxes that come with turbo kits were made to work with that car. So if someone is offering to sell you one and you don't have the same car has them( same ecu and car basically), I wouldn't do it. Now you might be confusing the blue box with greddy e-manage which is also a blue shaped box(never seen one in person) which is very similar to a vafc with a few more functions. I have heard good things about e-manage on honda-tech.com, but it still does not compare to a standalone such as hondata or AEM EMS. To answer your other questions my car is running rich which is good for FI but i probably could be making more power, I am also on the stock fuel pump. Also about the installation an experienced friend of mine helped install the injectors and blue box and was very similar to the wiring of a vafc. Overall the car is running rich, but other than that it runs great, transition into boost is smooth and the cars pulls very hard. If you have a good amount of money to spend I would suggest to get a standalone, which is probably what I will be doing as soon as I have enough money, and have it tuned. Another option that has more tuning abilities than the blue box would be to run an afc hack. This would consist of larger injectors( DSM 450s or RC 440s,etc) and vafc or safc to controll them. Many people on honda-tech.com use this set up and seem to have great results. Well sorry about the long post but if you have anymore questions pm me, I'll cear my box now.
Later
Scott
