I finally hit 12s last night at Bandimere on pump gas with NO nitrous baby :).
60' - 1.965
1/8 - 8.298
mph - 85.82
1/4 - 12.921
mph - 106.32
Also my car had over 3/4 tank of gas, my laptop and some clothes in it. Last time I weighed the car up there (3 weeks ago) with 1/2 tank of gas it weight 3250 with me in it. I would estimate the car weighed around 3260-3280 last night.
Anyway it only took me two years but I finally did it :guns:.
Now onto race gas and more tuning [heh].

Good job! Car is moving on the low end for sure. What all do you have done to the car?

Too much :). I have basically done every thing you can without cracking open the block for internal upgrades. The most recent mod was my lovely TEC TD05-18G turbo from Jim running 19-20psi.

Thanks for the props guys!! Honestly I am more stoked about the trap speed than the time. I went from running 101 last year to a 106 this year!!

congrats
Geez  ,another Subi in the 12s,I gotta start making up ground so I hope to be able to run 21psi with some good tuning since the stock MAF fuel cut issue is my next roadblock but I may have a solution that I'll reveal later when I post a review of it.

I am expecting good and more importantly CONSISTANT 12s from you Paul ;). Unlike me who took 5 passes before I hit my 12 timeslip at the end. At least I kept improving I guess. Starting with a 2.55 then 2.3 then 2.2 then 2.2 then 1.96 60' progression [heh].
01ITR#700 - I have no doubts you will be in the 12s this year. A good turboed honda setup never ceases to scare me :).

Nice going David! We'll have to line up next week, should be a close race with an s4 that runs about the same times!

SWEET! Great job david. It's about time someone did it. With a better 60' time you can get a 12.8 no problem. Your lucky my tranny is broken because I just happened to be filming your run instead of racing and here it is:

Congratulations! The potential of these AWD platforms is just amazing, both WRX and DSM - heavy pigs and running 12s!!!
I hope to join you in the 12's this season, but I have much work ahead of me. However, I did get my fuel pump in last night, and I got 12 psi boost with no fuel delivery problems - actually it seems quite rich now. Onwards to 18 psi, soon as I can verify my mixture at WOT :D

Congrats! 12's are definitely fast!
106 mph is good for mid 12's, possibly faster. I went 12.50@107.2, so you've got some time to play with.
Of course, my 60' time was 1.71, even though its FWD.
I am however, utterly shocked at the size of the turbo's and high boost levels you guys need to run that fast. I have a super 16g running 8 psi, in a car that weighs 2500ish pounds, and am pulling 12.50's at Bandimere. And no nitrous. :)
Regardless, congrats!

Thanks first off :). I have a couple of questions maybe you or someone else can answer. I wonder how much of a difference my extra 800lbs of weight makes for my car/times/speed? My car was weighing in at a solid 3275-3300lbs that night.
And what compression ratio are you running with 8psi? I am running the stock WRX block which is 8:1 CR and to get a trap at sea level of ~106-108mph people generally run 17-18psi.
I was looking in the back of road and track (trying to get a rouch estimate of how much hp I am making) and looking at the trap speeds that all the cars were putting down. It looked like the hp ratings for cars running 105-106mph in the 1/4 mile ranged from 325-375hp. I imagine the 1/4 mile speed is affected by weight and gearing mostly, but does anyone else have any insight into this?
Thanks
Good job, Dave. Congrats!!

:) AWD is great isn't it?! 12's on street tires and no NOS! It's great. Good run.
